A320 pilot reported loss of hydraulic pressure and diversion to nearby suitable airport.
Synopsis
A320 pilot reported loss of hydraulic pressure and diversion to nearby suitable airport.
Narrative
Climbing through approximately 25;000 ft.; we received a HYD B LO LVL CAUTION; followed by HYD B LO PR just two minutes later. As we performed the appropriate ECAMs and checklists; ZZZ Center was trying to hand us off to ZZZ OCEANIC. At this point; we could see that we'd lost all hydraulic fluid from the BLUE system. In the interest of safety we decided not continue northbound into oceanic airspace. Instead; we decided to turn towards ZZZ. Once we were established southeast bound; we were able to report the problem to Dispatch via SATCOM; but the signal was weak and the call continually dropped. Also ACARS was inoperative due to the ATSU having been deferred.Once communication was reestablished with Dispatch and Maintenance Control; they recommended that we continue to ZZZ1 on the original flight plan. We felt that this was no longer an option as our Estimated Fuel On Board would've been 5;200 lbs at our ETA.While we were holding north of ZZZ we agreed with Dispatch to change our destination to ZZZ2 as the aircraft was then in a safe condition and the aircraft weight would be less than upon arrival in ZZZ2.We continued to ZZZ2; and the remainder of the flight was uneventful.
