Synopsis
Ramp agent reported uncommanded aircraft movement after parking the aircraft; and tried to notify the Captain of the aircraft movement. The aircraft stopped then was repositioned to the proper stop mark.
Narrative
I was marshalling in the CRJ550 into the designated stop marker. Once the front wheels touched the stop marker I gave the (X) sign with the wands to indicate to the pilot to stop. As I was walking towards the chocks to chock in the front nose tires; I was about 6-7 feet from the chocks when I noticed the aircraft slowly moving forward. I immediately stepped back to give the pilot another (X) sign with my wands while yelling stop and trying to get the pilots attention. The pilot was not paying attention to me as I noticed he was looking down at the middle console. The aircraft moved about 5 feet from the designated stop marker to the next marker. I then contacted the Supervisor to inform him of what happened; while we were waiting for the supervisor to get to the gate; Person A was trying to get the attention of the flight attendant so that she does not open the door. However; she opened it anyway barely landing on top of the [chocks] that was intended to be placed in the front nose tires. Person A informed the flight attendant of the situation and she called the captain over the phone to let them know that the main cabin doors needed to be closed for the ground crew to reposition the aircraft. The Supervisor was there as he witnessed us moving the aircraft back to its intended stop marker. Supervisor then spoke to copilot about the situation and was told that the pilot had his foot on the breaks but pressure to the breaks was being released and by the time he realized that the plane was moving was when he added more pressure to the breaks and setting the parking breaks on.
Second reporter narrative
I was the wing walker on the left (captains) side of the aircraft (Aircraft Y) when it arrived from ZZZ on gate XX. The guide man guided the aircraft to the stop mark and gave the pilot the stop signal (X). I got ready to set the cone at the wing tip when all of a sudden the plane started rolling forward. When I looked up; the guide man was trying to get the captain's attention to stop the aircraft. The plane rolled all the way to the next stop mark before being brought to a stop; which is about 5 feet. The flight attendant then opened the main cabin door; which was now where the chocks had been pre-positioned at the original stop mark. She had opened the door completely before I could stop her. Luckily; when the door landed on top of the chocks; it had about 1-2 inches of clearance so there was no damage to the door. I then told her that we were going to have to push the aircraft back about 5 feet and why. She got on the intercom with the pilot and told him. In the mean time; the guide man had contacted Person B to report the incident. We then hooked up the push tractor; the flight attendant closed the main cabin door and we pushed the plane back to the correct stop mark.
