CRJ-700 flight crew reported loss in cabin pressurization during descent. Flight continued to destination and landed overweight.
Synopsis
CRJ-700 flight crew reported loss in cabin pressurization during descent. Flight continued to destination and landed overweight.
Narrative
I was PF from ZZZ1 to ZZZ. We had a normal takeoff out of ZZZ1 and got up to our cruising altitude of FL260. When I sent for the landing numbers in ZZZ; it showed we were going to be landing about 300 pounds heavy. Due to this; the captain selected the wing/cowl anti ice on. I believe it was right after we got a descend via clearance; we got a R Bleed Duct warning message. I called for the QRH--R Bleed Duct warning. The captain started reading the QRH; and it instructed us to descend to 10;000. I selected 10;000; speed mode; thrust levers idle; and full spoilers. Cabin altitude was increasing. We finished the full QRH procedure; including the unpressurized flight procedure. After that; on the way down to 10;000 feet; the captain was sending dispatch ACARS messages and talking to the flight attendants while I was operating the radios and flying the aircraft. We continued to our destination of ZZZ. Once the captain was finished with talking to the flight attendants; we determined it was best to request priority handling due to the loss of pressurization and also due to the overweight landing. At 10;000 feet; I called for the descent checklist and approach checklist. We ended up landing about 100 pounds overweight if I recall correctly. We get on the ground with no other issues other than it is hot in the cockpit and the cabin. Once we get on the ground; I call ops to have a gate agent ready for the jet bridge and to make sure they connect the ground air as quickly as possible. We deplaned quickly and it was normal after that. We called MX (Maintenance) at the gate and the captain wrote up the issues we had. Mx personnel were on board when we left the aircraft.
Second reporter narrative
At cruise F260 with wing and cowl A/I on; we received R Bleed Duct warning message. Followed QRH and had to descend to 10000 as we lost both our packs due to the issue and requested priority handling with ATC. We continued to ZZZ as we were 15 min out. Cause: Likely a leak in the bleed air system resulting in an escalated descent.
