Narrative
During climb out of ZZZ passing FL240 we received R Oil Level Low" Status message. R Oil Level was 15% and we referred to CRJ900 QRH directing us to "Complete the flight; monitor oil temp and oil pressure."Passing FL250 oil pressure was 80psi; FL270/70psi; FL290/55psi; FL310/35psi; FL330/30psi followed by "R Eng Oil Press" Warning. We referenced the CRJ900 QRH and it directed us to complete "Engine Failure/In-flight Engine Shutdown" procedure. Requested priority handling and requested lower alt FL270 and then FL240 for single-engine operation. Requested nearest suitable airfield from ATC (ZZZ1 and ZZZ2) reviewed weather and runway lengths while notifying Dispatch of our situation and intentions to land at ZZZ2 based on runway lengths while notifying and Maintenance Base status.ATC provided vectors to the field and we briefed performance data for ZZZ2 XXL; completed "Single Engine Approach and Landing" QRH. Briefed FAs (flight attendants) about situation and updated passengers about the situation and need to divert to ZZZ2. While descending to 11;000' completed descent and approach checklists prior to requesting final vectors to final for ILS XXL. Captain performed landing was uneventful; cleared runway and had ARFF (Airport Rescue and Firefighting) meet us on taxiway to scan right engine. ARFF cleared us to continue to the gate and after shutdown ground personnel identified oil pooling below right engine.Cause: engine loss of oil"
