Narrative
AFTER TKOF FROM NASSAU INTL IN 727 THE CABIN WOULDN'T PRESSURIZE WITH BOTH PACKS ON. FLT ATTENDANTS SAID THERE WAS A LOUD WHISTLING FROM THE L AFT GALLEY DOOR. WE MADE A NORMAL RETURN FOR LNDG AT NASSAU INTL. NO EMER DECLARED. NO FUEL DUMP REQUIRED. ONCE ON THE GND WITH THE CHKLIST COMPLETE; WE RESEATED THE DOOR. ACFT WAS THEN PRESSURIZED ON THE GND AND IT WORKED FINE WITH NO AIR LEAK AROUND DOOR. REFILED AND REDISPATCHED BY RADIO AND TOOK OFF WITH NO FURTHER INCIDENTS. WE DID NOT HAVE ANY INDICATION OF A DOOR PROB IN THE COCKPIT (IE; NO LIGHTS). FLT ATTENDANT CALLED BEFORE TKOF AS WE WERE TAKING THE RWY; TO TELL US OF A WHISTLING SOUND BY THE DOOR BUT DID NOT INDICATE THAT IT WAS PARTICULARLY ABNORMAL. THE SEALS ALMOST ALWAYS RESEAL AT TKOF PWR AND THAT'S WHAT WE EXPECTED TO HAPPEN. IN RETROSPECT; WE SHOULD'VE TAXIED OFF AND CHKED OUT THE DOOR. SUPPLEMENTAL INFO FROM ACN 268823: FLT ATTENDANT IN TAIL SECTION CALLED FE AND COMPLAINED OF LOUD NOISE FROM ACFT GALLEY DOOR. FE SAID IT WAS PROBABLY BECAUSE HE WAS PRESSURIZING ACFT. WE LANDED WITHOUT INCIDENT. WHILE STOPPED ON TXWY; FE OPENED AND THEN CLOSED THE AFT GALLEY DOOR. THIS ELIMINATED NOISE. WE RECEIVED A NEW DISPATCH FROM COMPANY AND A NEW ATC CLRNC. WE AGAIN TOOK OFF WITHOUT FURTHER INCIDENT.
