Narrative
ALLEGED DRUNK FLT ATTENDANT: APPROX 3 1/2 HRS INTO FLT AT CRUISE; 1 FLT ATTENDANT CAME INTO COCKPIT AND ALLEGED THAT MALE FLT ATTENDANT IN REAR OF ACFT WAS DRUNK. I ADVISED HER THAT SHE SHOULD TAKE THE MATTER TO UNION PROFESSIONAL STANDARDS OR SOD. SHE DID NOT SAY THE MALE FLT ATTENDANT WAS OBNOXIOUS OR VIOLENT. THE FLT ATTENDANT CAME TO THE COCKPIT AND SAID HELLO BEFORE FLT AND DID NOT APPEAR DRUNK. AFTER ARRIVING HOTEL SNA -- 1 FLT ATTENDANT CALLED FO IN HIS ROOM AND COMPLAINED TO HIM -- HE TOLD HER TO CALL ME; WHICH SHE DID NOT DO. SUN MORNING SEP/XX/94 I DISCOVERED SHE CALLED UNION SAFETY HOTLINE; AND POSSIBLY AGENCIES OUTSIDE ACR; MAYBE THE FAA. THE ALLEGED CONDUCT WAS NOT VIOLENT OR OFFENSIVE; I DID NOT CALL AHEAD FOR POLICE AS IT WOULD POSSIBLY GIVE ACR BAD PUBLICITY IN NEWSPAPERS OR TV. I COULD NOT TESTIFY IN COURT THAT THE FLT ATTENDANT WAS DRUNK; VIOLENT; OR OFFENSIVE. I ADVISED 1 FLT ATTENDANT TO FOLLOW ACR IN-OUSE PROCS; BUT SHE APPARENTLY WENT OUTSIDE ACR. CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH RPTR REVEALED THE FOLLOWING INFO: THE RPTR BELIEVES THAT THE FLT ATTENDANT THAT COMPLAINED TO THE COCKPIT CALLED THE PLT'S UNION TO COMPLAIN THAT THE CAPT/RPTR HAD DONE NOTHING TO HELP IN THIS SIT. THE RPTR REFUSED TO GET INVOLVED IN A DISPUTE BTWN FLT ATTENDANTS. THE RPTR DOES NOT KNOW THE OUTCOME OF THIS DISPUTE; AND DOES NOT CARE TO KNOW. SUPPLEMENTAL INFO FROM ACN 282140: #F FLT ATTENDANT INFORMED CAPT AND ME OF HER OPINION THAT FLT ATTENDANT #M WAS DRUNK/INTOXICATED. SHE STATED THAT HE WAS SLEEPING AND IN THE LAVATORY FREQUENTLY AND THAT SHE SMELLED ALCOHOL ON HIS BREATH. I MET THIS INDIVIDUAL BEFORE THE FLT AND HIS CONDUCT AND APPEARANCE WERE NORMAL. I DID NOT OBSERVE FLT ATTENDANT #M IN AN ALLEGED DRUNKEN OR INTOXICATED CONDITION AT ANY TIME ENRTE TO THE LAYOVER HOTEL. MY OBSERVATION OF THIS ALLEGED INCIDENT -- THE FLT WAS CONDUCTED ENTIRELY IN A SAFE MANNER. THERE WERE NO DISTURBANCES TO THE PAX. THE OTHER 2 FLT ATTENDANTS DID NOT MENTION THE STATE OF FLT ATTENDANT #M.
