ACR X REFUSED TKOF CLRNC AND REQUIRED MORE WAKE TURB SEPARATION BEHIND A TKOF B757.

Narrative

ORD TO MSY. ORD TWR TOLD ACR X TO GO INTO POS AND HOLD; AFTER CLRING A BOEING 757 TO TKOF ON THE SAME RWY 22L. 65 SECONDS AFTER THE 757 WAS CLRED TO TKOF THE TWR CLRED US TO TKOF. THE FO STARTED TO RUN PWR UP AND THE CAPT HELD BRAUGS AND TOLD THE FO TO TELL TWR WE NEED '1 MORE MIN ON RWY;' THE TWR ASKED WHY? THE FO REPLIED 'BECAUSE OF THE 757;' 'WAKE TURB.' THE TWR ADVISED US TO CLR THE RWY AT THE NEXT REVERSE HIGHSPD TO THE R. THE CAPT TOOK CTL OF THE ACFT AND BEGAN TO MOVE FORWARD TO CLR THE RWY AS DIRECTED. THE TWR ADVISED 'PLEASE EXPEDITE CLRING AND ALSO ADDED 'WE HAVE TO KNOW BEFORE YOU TAKE THE RWY OF A 2 MIN SPACING REQUIREMENT BEHIND A 757; IF YOU DON'T WANT TO ACCEPT OUR RADAR SEPARATION. 1) THE CAPT MADE A DECISION IMMEDIATELY AFTER IT WAS OBVIOUS THE TWR WAS GIVING US DECREASED TKOF SEPARATION OR NOT INCREASED SEPARATION BEHIND A 757. 2) TWR EXPRESSED A NEED TO KNOW OR A REQUIREMENT TO KNOW MORE SPACING IS REQUIRED BEHIND A 757 BEFORE TAKING THE RWY. 3) TWR PUNISHED OUR FLT BY ASKING US TO 'CLR THE RWY' FOR ASKING FOR SAFE SEPARATION. 4) REQUEST ATC BE MORE SENSITIVE TO SEPARATION NEEDS BEHIND A 757 FROM OTHER; SMALLER ACFT TYPES.
