ACFT EQUIP PROB. VIBRATION IN FLT.
Narrative
WE EXPERIENCED SIGNIFICANT AIRFRAME OR ENG VIBRATION DURING DSCNT. DSCNT WAS 'MANAGED' AND N1'S WERE BTWN 78 PERCENT AND 82 PERCENT. AIRSPD WAS 0.79 MACH. WE HAD THE FLT ATTENDANTS WALK THROUGH THE CABIN AND THEY RPTED VIBRATIONS; FROM THE WING FORWARD TO FIRST CLASS. VIBRATION WAS CONSTANT AND HIGH FREQ. WITH PWR AT IDLE; VIBRATION WAS LESS BUT STILL NOTICEABLE. ENG VIBRATION MONITORS SHOWED NORMAL READINGS. WE FELT THE VIBRATION IN THE RUDDER PEDALS AND FLOOR BOARDS FOR THE ENTIRE DSCNT. THIS ACFT HAS ALSO BEEN RPTED TO HAVE HAD WING SPAR CORROSION. CORROSION ON THE WING SPAR AND SIGNIFICANT VIBRATION ARE 2 THINGS I DON'T LIKE TO PUT IN THE SAME SENTENCE. CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH RPTR REVEALED THE FOLLOWING INFO: THIS ACFT WAS THE FIRST A320 ON THE LINE WITH THIS ACR. RPTR SAYS THERE HAD BEEN RPTS OF CORROSION ON THE WING SPAR WHICH MADE HIM VERY CONCERNED WHEN EXPERIENCING THE AIRFRAME VIBRATION. POST FLT INSPECTION REVEALED AN ACCESS PANEL WAS LOOSE ON THE WING AND ASSUMED TO HAVE BEEN THE CAUSE OF THE VIBRATION. THIS RPTR HAS HAD NO FURTHER FEEDBACK OR FLOWN THE SAME ACFT SINCE. THIS RPTR HAS SENT SEVERAL RPTS ABOUT THE A320 AND WAS PLEASANTLY SURPRISED THAT AIRBUS INDUSTRIES IS INFORMED AND PROVIDES FEEDBACK AS A RESULT OF THESE RPTS.
