Narrative
N LCL CTL WAS DEPARTING RWY 32L FROM INTXN T10 WITH DEPS. I WAS WORKING S LCL AND HAD 2 DEPS AT THE FULL LENGTH OF RWY 32L (THESE ACFT REQUESTED RWY 32L FULL LENGTH BECAUSE OF WT). BECAUSE RWY 32L INTERSECTS WITH RWY 27L (I HAD CTL OF RWY 27L WITH ARRS) I (S LCL) LEGALLY HAVE TO DEPART THESE ACFT AFTER GETTING CTL OF RWY 32L FROM N LCL. I COORDINATED WITH N LCL THAT I HAD 2 FULL LENGTH RWY 32L SBOUND DEPS. N LCL GAVE ME CTL OF RWY 32L AND A RELEASE FOR BOTH ACFT. APPROX 1 MIN LATER I CLRED ACFT #1 FOR TKOF. SECONDS LATER I HEARD N LCL CLRING SOMEONE FOR TKOF. THIS CAUGHT MY ATTN. I SCANNED RWY 32L AND OBSERVED ACFT #2 TAXIING INTO POS AT RWY 32L AT T10. I YELLED TO N LCL THAT I HAD CTL OF RWY 32L. HER RESPONSE WAS SURPRISE. I THEN IMMEDIATELY ABORTED TKOF OF ACFT #1. ACFT #1 STOPPED SHORT OF RWY 27L; ACFT #2 THEN TAXIED ACROSS THE RWY. PROCS EXIST FOR TRANSFERRING CTL OF RWYS. N LCL DID NOT FOLLOW PROC AND APPARENTLY FORGOT THAT SHE HAD GIVEN THE RWY TO ME. AGAIN THERE ARE PROCS IN PLACE. A MEMORY JOGGER WOULD HAVE HELPED; TOO. WE HAVE WAYS TO DO THIS ALSO.
