AN ACR A320 FO RPTS THAT HE WAS SERIOUSLY INJURED ON THE JOB OVER A YR AGO AND STILL SUFFERS THE EFFECTS FROM A FALL FROM A JETWAY. HE STATES THAT DUE TO HIS EMPLOYER'S AND ITS INSURANCE CARRIER'S POLICIES HE IS UNABLE TO OBTAIN PROPER MEDICAL TREATMENT OR PAY FOR THE TREATMENT THAT HE HAS OBTAINED. THE RPTR SAYS THAT HE HAS BEEN DENIED FULL COVERAGE AND HE FEELS THAT IF HE REVEALED HIS CONDITION TO THE FAA OR HIS MEDICAL EXAMINER HE WOULD PROBABLY BE MEDICALLY DISQUALIFIED.

Narrative
THE PROB BEGAN WHEN WHILE PERFORMING MY DUTIES AS A PLT FOR AN ACR. GOING OUT TO PREFLT; I FELL 25 FT FROM JETWAY STAIRS. FOUND UNCONSCIOUS; BROKEN R LEG; FRACTURED SKULL; R KIDNEY BLEEDING INTERNALLY; FRACTURED RIBS; BACK INJURY (LOWER). FOUND BY GND STAFF AT BOTTOM OF JETWAY STAIRS ON MY BACK UNCONSCIOUS; TRANSPORTED TO HOSPITAL BY EMT'S WHERE FOR 7 HRS WAS TREATED FOR THE ABOVE INJURIES TO STABILIZE THEM. CONTRIBUTING FACTORS HAVE BEEN THE COMPANY'S INCOMPETENCE AND THEIR SELF-INSURED CARRIER HAVE BROUGHT ME TO NEAR FINANCIAL RUIN; HAVE CAUSED MYSELF AND MY FAMILY SO MUCH STRESS THAT IT'S ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO FUNCTION EACH DAY WITHOUT THIS ON THE JOB ACCIDENT TAKING OVER MY EVERY THOUGHT AND RESOURCES FINANCIALLY AND HAS PROBABLY COST MY MEDICAL QUALIFICATION ABILITY TO MUCH LONGER HIDE MY CONDITIONS AND LOSE MY MEDICAL AND ABILITY TO FLY AND EARN A LIVING. MY JUDGEMENT AND DECISION MAKING CAPABILITIES HAVE BEEN UNDERMINED BY THIS DETERIORATING PROB AND THE HARASSMENT BEING BROUGHT ON BY MY EMPLOYER IN NOT PAYING FOR MY BILLS FOR MEDICAL AND THE WORKERS COMP. SHOULD I DISCLOSE THESE PROBS BEFORE MY MEDICAL EXAMINER; I WOULD NO LONGER BE ABLE TO EARN A LIVING AND STILL OWE ALL THESE BILLS. THE HEADACHES AND BLURRED VISION I LIVE WITH EACH DAY HAVE WORSENED SINCE MID OCTOBER AND BLOOD SHOWS IN MY URINE EVERY FEW WKS OR MONTHS. MY CAREER IS SLIPPING AWAY WITH MY EMPLOYER NOT ASSISTING AS THE LAW PROVIDES. I WILL CONTINUE TO COVER THIS PROB UP UNTIL I NO LONGER CAN TO PROTECT MY EARNINGS AND MY FAMILY. SINCE MAR/WED/97 TO TODAY; JUL/SAT/O7; I HAVE BEEN FLYING WITH THESE MEDICAL PROBS AND UNDER THIS TREMENDOUS STRESS CAUSED BY MY EMPLOYER AND THEIR INSURANCE COMPANY.
