ON TAXI OUT WE WERE GIVEN A RWY CHANGE; WE BRIEFED THE CHANGE IN TKOF DATA; BUT REVIEWED THE 'NON-JET' DEP PROCS ON THE LOGAN 4. SUPPLEMENTAL INFO FROM ACN 404671: CLRNC DELIVERY ASSIGNED US A LOGAN TWO DEP. I BRIEFED SID OFF RWY 9 WHICH WAS RWY HEADING TO 5000 FT. AFTER START-UP FO CALLED GND AND WE WERE DIRECTED TO TAXI TO RWY 4R. I RECHKED SID; HOWEVER I READ THE (NON-JET ACFT) PORTION OF THE SID WHICH STATED FLY RWY HEADING; MAINTAIN 5000 FT. ON DEP I SHOULD HAVE TURNED R TO 090 DEGS AT 4 DME. I CLBED RWY HEADING. AT 6 DME BOSTON DEP QUESTIONED MY HEADING AND INSTRUCTED US TO TURN L TO 280 DEGS. I BELIEVE; IN THE FUTURE; A MORE CAREFUL EXAMINATION OF THE SID WILL PREVENT A RECURRENCE. SUPPLEMENTAL INFO FROM ACN 404666: DEP FACTOR AFFECTING PERFORMANCE. DARKNESS; UNFAMILIARITY WITH ARPT; CHANGE IN PLAN WHILE TAXIING; PRESSURE TO STAY IN SEQUENCE AND ON SCHEDULE; CHANGING PERFORMANCE DATA. RECOMMEND TRYING TO KEEP ATIS RWY ASSIGNMENTS CONSISTENT WITH CTLR ASSIGNMENTS AND EMPHASIZING THAT CHANGES IN PLANS REQUIRE EXTRA AIRCREW VIGILANCE TO AVOID ERROR.
