RTE CUN-MIA TOTAL FUEL 10810 KG. EXTRA FUEL 1500 KG. MINIMUM DIVERSION FUEL 3100 KG (TO FLL AS ALTERNATE). WE WERE CLRED TO MAINTAIN ON HOLDING PATTERN OVER CARNU FIX (IN DVALL-1 ARR) AT FL190 FOR 30 MINS; BUT WE CAN ONLY MAINTAIN FOR 20 MINS. TELLING TO ZMA THAT WE CAN ONLY MAINTAIN FOR THIS TIME; AFTER 15 MINS WE ASKED HIM HOW MUCH TIME HE EXPECTED. HE TOLD US 15-20 MINS MORE; THEN WE REQUESTED VECTORS TO PROCEED TO OUR ALTERNATE (FLL) DSNDING US TO 12000 FT AND SWITCHING US TO MIA APCH IN THIS FREQ. WE INFORM 'MINIMUM FUEL ADVISORY' AND ASKING US OUR DEST; WE RESPOND MIA; BUT WE ARE BEING VECTORED TO THE ALTERNATE. MIA APCH TOLD US THAT IN THAT MOMENT WE WERE #2 FOR APCH. IN THESE MOMENTS WE WERE AT 20 NM FROM MIA; WE ACCEPTED THE VECTORS. WHEN WE WERE CLOSE TO TOUCHDOWN (100 FT) WE LOST VISUAL CONTACT WITH THE RWY; MAKING THE PROC OF GAR WITH VECTORS ON HDG 180 DEGS AND CLBING TO 3000 FT; SWITCHING US TO MIA APCH IN THESE FREQS CLBING US TO 5000 FT AND HDG 120 DEGS. IN THESE MOMENTS WE HAD 3100 KG FOR THE ALTERNATE (FLL). WE REQUESTED VECTORS FOR THE L DIRECT TO FLL. HE TOLD US THAT FLL AND PBI WERE CLOSING DUE TO WX CONDITIONS AND AT OUR 1 O'CLOCK POS WAS HOMESTEAD (HST) ARPT SUGGESTING US LAND THERE. WE ACCEPTED; SWITCHING US TO HST APCH. HE GAVE RADAR CONTACT; TELLING US THAT THE ARPT WAS AT 3 O'CLOCK OF OUR POS. AT THAT MOMENT WE HAD THE ARPT IN SIGHT; CLRED US TO A R VISUAL PATTERN TO RWY 5. AT THE MOMENT WE WERE IN THE RAMP WE HAD 1800 KG. AFTER THAT; WE REFUELED AND RETURNED TO MIA ARPT WITHOUT PROBS.
