FLT ATTENDANT RPT OF A B757 BOARDING WITH A PAX WHO WOULD NOT ALLOW HIS LUGGAGE TO BE CHKED WHEN THERE WAS NO ROOM ABOARD THE ACFT. HE BECAME ABUSIVE AND UNCOOPERATIVE. CAPT HAD SECURITY COME TO THE ACFT AND REMOVED THE PAX.

Narrative

PAX BOARDED LAST; WENT TO MAIN CABIN SEAT. AGENT WAS STILL ON BOARD AND #4 FLT ATTENDANT EXPLAINED TO ME THAT SHE EXPLAINED TO HIM THERE WAS NO MORE ROOM FOR LUGGAGE; THAT HIS LUGGAGE WOULD HAVE TO BE CHKED. I WAS NOT DIRECTLY INVOLVED; BUT SAW THE DISTURBANCE. AGENT TOLD CAPT THE PAX REFUSED TO CHK HIS LUGGAGE. CAPT WENT BACK TO DISCUSS WITH PAX. CAPT ASKED PAX TO STEP OFF THE PLANE TO DISCUSS THE PROB; PAX REFUSED. CAPT ASKED AGAIN; PAX REFUSED AGAIN. CAPT TOLD HIM IF HE DIDN'T COOPERATE HE WOULD NOT BE PERMITTED ON THE FLT. PAX WAS LOUD AND IRATE; STATING HE WAS NOT GOING TO CHK HIS LUGGAGE; HE WAS NOT GOING TO BE TREATED LIKE THIS IN FRONT OF ALL THE PAX. HE FINALLY FOLLOWED THE CAPT AND WENT OFF THE PLANE. AFTER THE AGENT WENT TO CALL SECURITY; HIS WIFE/GIRLFRIEND WAS TRYING TO CALM HIM DOWN; BUT IT WASN'T HELPING. I ASKED HER IF SHE HAD GOTTEN ALL THEIR LUGGAGE AND ARTICLES OFF; SHE SAID YES. PAX IN FIRST CLASS TOLD ME THAT HE WAS CAUSING THE AGENT A LOT OF PROBS AT THE GATE -- BEING VERY VERBALLY ABUSIVE AND DISRUPTIVE BEFORE BOARDING. THEY ALSO TOLD ME THEY WERE VERY UNCOMFORTABLE WITH HIM BEING ON THE FLT; DUE TO HIS VIOLENT ACTIONS; AND WERE GLAD HE WAS REMOVED. I FEEL THAT SECURITY COULD HAVE BEEN THERE QUICKER. IT SEEMED LIKE FOREVER UNTIL THEY ARRIVED. CAPT; AGENT AND FLT ATTENDANT I FEEL HANDLED THE SIT APPROPRIATELY AND PROFESSIONALLY. MOSTLY; THIS SIT WILL ENSURE TO THE OTHER PAX ON BOARD THIS FLT THAT DISRUPTIVE BEHAVIOR IS NOT TOLERATED AND THEY DON'T HAVE TO BE SUBJECTED TO THE DANGERS OF IT.
