A B727-200 ON INITIAL CLB AT 2200 FT HAD THE AMBER LEADING EDGE DISAGREEMENT LIGHT ON. TURNED ON AIRFOIL ANTI-ICE AND RETRACTED FLAPS. AFTER 10 MINS OF AIRFOIL ANTI-ICE OP; LIGHT WENT OUT AND ALL INDICATIONS NORMAL.

Narrative

ACFT DEPARTED LAN ON RWY 28L. ON FLAP RETRACTION FROM 5 DEGS TO 2 DEGS; THE AMBER LEADING EDGE DISAGREEMENT LIGHT ON THE FO'S PANEL REMAINED ILLUMINATED. AIRSPD WAS LIMITED TO 180 KTS DURING ABNORMAL PROC. AIRFOIL ANTI-ICE WAS SELECTED ON AS A LEADING EDGE POS INDICATION MICROSWITCH WAS SUSPECT. REFED B727 COM FOR ABNORMAL PROC; NONE FOUND. LEADING EDGE PANEL WAS REFED TO DETERMINE ACTUAL POS OF LEADING EDGE DEVICES. WITH FLAP HANDLE IN THE 2 DEG POS; BOTH INBOARD AND OUTBOARD FLAP NEEDLES WERE AT 2 DEGS; LEADING EDGES EXTENDED WERE 2; 3; 6; 7; AND THE AMBER LEADING EDGE LIGHT WAS ILLUMINATED. DISPATCH AND MAINT CTL WERE CONSULTED FOR ADDITIONAL MECHANICAL AND OPERATIONAL CONSIDERATIONS; AND TO DETERMINE AN APPROPRIATE RESOLUTION TO THE INDICATION. FLAPS UP WERE SELECTED AND VERIFIED ALL FLAPS AND LEADING EDGE DEVICES WERE DETERMINED TO BE RETRACTED. LEADING EDGE DISAGREEMENT AMBER LIGHT EXTINGUISHED AFTER APPROX 10 MINS OF AIRFOIL ANTI-ICE APPLICATION. FLT OPERATED TO DTW WITH ALL FLT CTL AND INDICATIONS NORMAL IN DSCNT AND LNDG.
