CABIN ATTENDANT RPT; B757; MIA-SFO; MENTALLY DISTURBED PAX INTERRUPTED CREW DUTIES. CABIN ATTENDANT #6; SITTING AT ASSIGNED JUMP SEAT; HAD TO GUARD PAX FOR LNDG.

Narrative

THIS WOMAN WAS EITHER OVER OR UNDER MEDICATED AND ACTED DISORIENTED AND INCOHERENT. THERE WAS ALSO A PROB IN TRYING TO COMMUNICATE -- SHE SPOKE A FOREIGN LANGUAGE THAT NONE OF US SPOKE. SHE TRIED TO OPEN ACFT DOORS INFLT. WE THOUGHT SHE MIGHT BE OLD AND SENILE AND DIRECTED HER TOWARDS THE LAVATORY. WE RESEATED HER. THE CAPT TURNED ON THE SEATBELT SIGN AND TRIED TO MAKE SURE SHE REMAINED SEATED WITH SEATBELT ON. WOMAN WOULD REMOVE SEATBELT; AGAIN GO TO THE ACFT DOORS; DISRUPT OTHER PAX; USING THEIR HEADS AS HAND RESTS; AS SHE WALKED UP AND DOWN THE AISLE; INSTEAD OF SEAT BACKS. SHE ALSO DISROBED FROM THE WAIST UP IN MID LAVATORY. FLT ATTENDANT #6 SAT AND 'BABYSAT' HER FOR 2 HRS UNTIL LNDG AND OCCUPIED SEAT XY DURING LNDG TO MAKE SURE THERE WERE NO SAFETY DISRUPTIONS DURING LNDG/TAXI. CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH RPTR REVEALED THE FOLLOWING INFO: THE RPTR SAID THAT THE WOMAN WAS IN HER 60'S; AND THAT HER PURSE CONTAINED LOTS OF MEDICATIONS. THE OTHER PAX WERE QUITE ANNOYED WITH HER; AS SHE WAS CARESSING THEIR FACES AND HEADS. WHEN SHE DISROBED IN THE LAVATORY; THE CABIN CREW HAD TO TAKE HER BACK INSIDE THE LAVATORY AND REDRESS HER. THE FLT ATTENDANT WHO SAT WITH HER WAS AN EXTRA FLT ATTENDANT. THE CAPT WAS VERY CONCERNED AND INVOLVED IN THE AFFAIR; CALLING BACK FREQUENTLY TO GET AN UPDATE; AND CALLED AHEAD TO HAVE AUTHS OR FAMILY MEET THE WOMAN. NO ONE WAS THERE TO MEET HER; SO THE AGENTS ENDED UP CALLING THE COUNTY SOCIAL SVCS TO HANDLE HER.
