Narrative
WHILE AWAITING OUR RELEASE TIME; A 'SMOKE CARGO' WARNING WAS RECEIVED ON THE MASTER CAUTION. THE ASSOCIATED ALARMS AND LIGHTS ACCOMPANIED THE WARNING. THE APPROPRIATE PROCS FOR THIS WARNING WERE ACCOMPLISHED AND THE ACFT EVACED ONTO THE TXWY. CFR WAS DISPATCHED; NO DAMAGE WAS FOUND WITHIN THE CARGO COMPARTMENT AND NO INJURIES WERE RPTED AS A RESULT OF THIS INCIDENT. CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH RPTR REVEALED THE FOLLOWING INFO: THE RPTR STATED THE CARGO COMPARTMENT WARNING WAS A FALSE WARNING CAUSED BY A FAULTY SMOKE DETECTOR OR SENSOR. THE RPTR SAID NO INJURIES WERE INCURRED DURING THE EVACUATION. THE RPTR STATED THE COMPANY RPTED THE PROBLEM WAS CAUSED BY A CELL PHONE ACTIVATED IN THE BAGGAGE BUT NO BAGS WERE OPENED OR SEARCHED. CALLBACK CONV W RPTR ACN 481914 REV THE FOLLOWING INFO: THE RPTR STATED THE CARGO WARNING WAS A FALSE WARNING CAUSED BY A BAD COMPARTMENT SENSOR. THE RPTR SAID A WEEK OR SO LATER THE COMPANY BLAMED THE INCIDENT ON A CELL PHONE ACTIVATED IN THE BAGGAGE COMPARTMENT BUT NO INSPECTION WAS MADE OF ANY BAGGAGE.
