Narrative

ON SEP/XA/00 AT APPROX XA15Z; ACR FLT X; HOLDING SHORT OF RWY 22 AT TXWY F; RECEIVED THE FOLLOWING INSTRUCTION: 'CROSS RWY 32 AT TXWY F; TURN R AT TXWY E; THEN R AT TXWY DOUBLE CHARLIE; EXPEDITE ACROSS RWY 22.' AS WE MADE OUR R TURN ONTO TXWY E (ABOUT 45 DEGS OF TURN); THE CTLR SAID 'CONTINUE STRAIGHT AHEAD.' HAVING ALREADY MADE THE TURN; WE TAXIED STRAIGHT ON TXWY E AND CLRED THE RWY. AN AIRLINE ON FINAL WENT AROUND AS WE CLRED RWY 22; SENSING NOT ENOUGH SEPARATION. AT TXWY DOUBLE BRAVO (1 TXWY TOO SOON) THE CAPT STARTED TO TURN R; BUT CONTINUED STRAIGHT WHEN REMINDED BY THE FO TO WAIT UNTIL TXWY DOUBLE CHARLIE. THE GND CTLR; WHO HAD ALREADY TOLD ANOTHER PLT THAT HE NEEDED AN ALPHABET LESSON; ASKED US IF WE NEEDED THE SAME HELP. I TOLD HIM NO; WE WERE TAXIING JUST FINE WITH OUR GIVEN INSTRUCTIONS AND REPEATED THEM BACK TO HIM. HE THEN TOLD US TO LET HIM KNOW WHEN WE THOUGHT WE COULD HANDLE IT AND HE WOULD SWITCH US OVER TO THE TWR FREQ. AT THIS TIME; THE CAPT ASKED THE CTLR FOR HIS INITIALS AND NUMBERS. THE TKOF WAS UNEVENTFUL.
