A CANADAIR CL65 WAS ALLEGED TO HAVE BEEN DISPATCHED IN NON COMPLIANCE WITH THE AUTOSPOILERS DEFERRED AS INOP.
Narrative
I RECEIVED A PHONE CALL FROM ACR CHIEF PLT'S OFFICE REGARDING ACR FLT ABC WHICH I OPERATED AS FO FROM ZZZ TO WXV ON SEP/XA/00 IN ACFT XYZ. THIS SIT ALSO APPLIES TO 3 SUBSEQUENT FLTS; FLT #ABC; #XYV AND #XXX FROM ZZZ TO WZZ; WZZ TO ZZZ; AND ZZZ TO YMX; RESPECTIVELY. THE CHIEF PLT INFORMED ME THAT HE BELIEVED WE HAD AN IMPROPER MAINT DEFERRAL DEPARTING ZZZ. THE FOLLOWING ARE THE EVENTS AS THEY OCCURRED. DURING THE MORNING PREFLT; THE CAPT CONDUCTED THE 'HYD/FLT CTL FIRST FLT OF THE DAY' CHKS. DURING THE TEST THE EICAS DISPLAYED INBOARD AND OUTBOARD GND SPOILER FAULT STATUS MESSAGES. THE CAPT CALLED FOR MAINT AND WROTE UP THE DISCREPANCY IN THE MAINT LOGBOOK. A MECH ARRIVED AT THE ACFT. HE USED A CELL PHONE TO CONTACT ACR MAINT CTL AT XXX. WHILE TALKING ON THE CELL PHONE HE PULLED AND RESET SEVERAL CIRCUIT BREAKERS AT THE DIRECTION OF MAINT. THE FAULT CODE DID NOT CLR. HE DISCUSSED THE SIT WITH MAINT CTL AND THEN XFERRED THE WRITE-UP TO THE MAINT DEFERRAL LOG. HE BRIEFED THE CAPT THAT ALL THE CREW NEEDED TO DO OPERATIONALLY WAS VERIFY PROPER FLT CTL OP PRIOR TO FLT. SHORTLY AFTER THE MECH DEPARTED THE ACFT; THE APPLICABLE STATUS MESSAGES CLRED FROM THE EICAS AND NEVER RETURNED. WE COMPLETED OPS CHKS OF THE FLT CTLS/GND SPOILERS AND FLEW THE FLTS WITHOUT INCIDENT.
