A CL65 FLC FAILS TO EXERCISE THE HIGHER LEVELS OF CRM WHEN NOT ADHERING TO APCH CTLR'S HDG FOR AN INTERCEPT OF ILS RWY 18L AT CVG; KY.

Narrative

THIS WAS OUR 6TH LEG OF A 7 LEG DAY COMING FROM SBN TO CVG. COMING IN FROM THIS DIRECTION (NW) WE 'EXPECTED' TO GET THE ILS TO RWY 18R. THE CAPT BRIEFED FOR THIS APCH; EVEN THOUGH WE HAD NOT YET BEEN ASSIGNED IT. I WAS TIRED AND SINCE WE ALWAYS FLY INTO CVG; I DON'T THINK I PAID MUCH ATTN TO HIS BRIEF. CHKING ON WITH APCH CTL; HE GAVE US RWY 18L ILS TO EXPECT. I'M SURE I READ THIS BACK TO THE CTLR; BUT IT NEVER REALLY REGISTERED IN MY BRAIN THAT WE WERE NOW GOING TO RWY 18L. I 'ASSUMED' THE CAPT HAD HEARD THIS; WHICH WAS WRONG. I SHOULD HAVE TOLD HIM AND CONFIRMED IT WITH HIM. ON THE FINAL VECTOR THE CTLR CLRED US FOR THE ILS TO RWY 18L AND I AGAIN READ THIS BACK. I REMEMBER HEARING THE CAPT COMPLAIN AT WHAT A ROTTEN VECTOR THAT THE CTLR HAD US ON AND HE WAS GOING TO MAKE A CORRECTION. THE CTLR HAD US ON A SE HDG AND THE CAPT THEN TURNED TO THE SW. THIS WAS WHEN IT ALL OCCURRED TO ME; BUT NOT SOON ENOUGH. THE CAPT HAD THE FREQ FOR RWY 18R ILS SET UP AND WAS STILL IN THE MIND SET WE WERE GOING FOR THAT RWY. I QUESTIONED THE CAPT AND AT THE SAME TIME ATC QUESTIONED US. LUCKILY NO ONE ELSE WAS ON THE ILS RWY 18R APCH AND ATC JUST LET US CONTINUE. I BELIEVE BEING TIRED CAUSED OUR CRM TO BREAK DOWN. THE CAPT BRIEFED THE WRONG RWY AND I DIDN'T EVEN CATCH THIS. HE HAD THE FREQ FOR RWY 18R SET ON HIS SIDE AND I HAD RWY 18L SET ON MY SIDE WHICH ALSO SHOULD HAVE BEEN CAUGHT DURING THE APCH CHKLIST.
