A320 CREW WAS DIRECTED TO UNLOAD PAX ON A POORLY MARKED; INADEQUATELY LIGHTED HANGER RAMP.
Narrative
UNSAFE TAXI AND PARKING. OUR FLT WAS SCHEDULED; AS PART OF NORMAL OPS; TO TERMINATE AT A PARKING SPOT ON THE ZZZ HANGAR RAMP. THERE ARE MAJOR PROBLEMS PARKING THERE ON REVENUE FLTS. 1) THERE IS NO DIAGRAM OR INSTRUCTIONS DESCRIBING THE VARIOUS SPOTS TO OPERATION. OPS TOLD US WE WERE GOING TO SPOT XO; AND TO FOLLOW THE GUIDE MAN. THERE WAS ONLY ONE GUIDE MAN TO DIRECT US AROUND LOOSE VEHICLES AND WORK STANDS WITH MULTIPLE UNLIT TAXI LINES TO AN UNKNOWN SPOT. WE NEEDED THREE GUIDE MEN MINIMUM. PAX ARE GOING DOWN UNLIT STAIRS WITH CARRY ON LUGGAGE; I ALMOST FELL MYSELF. THE BUS ONLY HAD A FEW SEATS; FORCING MOST RIDERS TO STAND. ALL THESE PEOPLE STANDING WHILE DRIVING ON AN ACTIVE TXWY IS REALLY; REALLY UNSAFE. IN GENERAL; WE ARE SCHEDULING CREWAS TO TAXI AND PARK ACFT WITH NO DIAGRAMS AVAILABLE TO PRE-PLAN ACFT MOVEMENT; AND TO DO SO IN A MARGINALLY LIT AREA; WITH MULTIPLE LOOSE WORK STANDS AND VEHICLES; AND POSSIBLY (IF THE OTHER SCHEDULED ACFT ARRIVES AT THE SAME TIME) WITH WANDERING REVENUE PAX ON THE RAMP.
