A CL-65 FLT CREW IS UNCERTAIN IF THEY GOT CLRNC TO LAND DUE TO BEING VERY BUSY ON THE APCH.
Narrative
ON SEP/SAT/O1 I MADE CONTACT WITH MEM APCH AND WAS TOLD TO EXPECT APCH TO RWY 36C. ATIS HAD SAID APCH TO RWY 36C; AND RWY 36L CLOSED. APCH CTLR THEN SAID MAYBE RWY 36L BUT WAS STILL CLOSED. I TOLD APCH RWY 36C WOULD BE FINE WITH US. I HAD SET UP THE FMS FOR RWY 36C; AND THE PF HAD BRIEFED APCH TO RWY 36C. WE WERE VECTORED FOR RWY 36C. APCH THEN SAID LET'S KEEP IT SIMPLE AND EXPECT RWY 36C. TURNED OVER TO FINAL APCH. SHE SAID EXPECT RWY 36L AND GAVE VECTORS TO RWY 36L. I RESET THE FMS FOR RWY 36L AND RESET FREQ ON BOTH SIDES. THEN FINAL APCH CTLR SAID LOC MAY OR MAY NOT WORK; CALL ARPT IN SIGHT FOR VISUAL. I VERIFIED NO LOC APCH THEN RESET FMS FOR VISUAL APCH AND RE-ENABLED VNAV AND FLT DIRECTOR. TURNED OVER TO TWR FREQ. WHEN I CALLED ARPT IN SIGHT WAS CLRED FOR VISUAL APCH. FREQ WERE CHANGED AND CHKLISTS COMPLETED. WITH THIS HVY WORKLOAD; I DO NOT REMEMBER IF I CALLED TWR FOR CLRNC TO LAND. TOO MANY RWY CHANGES AND FREQ CHANGES IN A SHORT TIME SPAN. AFTER LNDG; THE VOICE ON TWR CAUGHT ME BY SURPRISE WHEN WE WERE CLRED OFF RWY AND CONTACT GND. I LOOKED AND WE WERE ON TWR FREQ AND GND WAS SET IN STANDBY. I DON'T REMEMBER SETTING THE FREQ OR TALKING TO TWR. ATC MADE NO COMMENT TO CONTACT THEM BY PHONE ON ARR. FO SAID HE THOUGHT I CALLED AND GOT CLRNC TO LAND.
