B757-200 CREW HAD A HARD LNDG AND THEN EXECUTED A GAR AT DFW.
Narrative
AS WE WERE LNDG IN DFW WE EXPERIENCED WINDSHEAR JUST BEFORE TOUCHING DOWN. BECAUSE OF THIS WE SLAMMED TO THE GND. AFTER ALL WHEELS WERE DOWN IT FELT AS THOUGH WE WERE OUT OF CTL. THE PLANE WENT (DIPPED) SIDE TO SIDE AND FISH-TAILED. I HEARD THE BRAKES BUT WE WERE UNABLE TO STOP OR TO GET ANY TRACTION. THE CAPT WAS ABLE TO REGAIN CTL BY TAKING OFF. THE NEXT CONCERN WAS ABOUT OUR LNDG GEAR. SINCE WE HIT THE GND SO HARD THEY WERE WORRIED OUR LNDG GEAR WAS DAMAGED. THE CAPT MADE A PA ABOUT THIS AND CALLED THE #1 FLT ATTENDANT TO THE COCKPIT. THE REST OF THE FLT ATTENDANTS STAYED IN OUR JUMP SEATS. WE CIRCLED THE ARPT AND DID A FLYBY SO OUR LNDG GEAR COULD BE CHKED BY WORKERS ON THE GND. THAT PROCESS TOOK ABOUT 15 MINS. WE WERE ALL VERY WORRIED. THE CAPT MADE A PA TO NOTIFY EVERYONE THAT OUR WHEELS SEEMED OKAY AND WE WOULD BE MAKING A NORMAL LNDG. WE LANDED AGAIN WITHOUT ANY PROBS. BECAUSE OF THE FIRST HARD LNDG ALL OF US IN THE BACK WERE REALLY TOSSED AROUND. SINCE THEN I HAVE HAD A SORE LOWER BACK. I HAVE BEEN TO ACR MEDICAL BECAUSE OF THIS. THIS IS MY THIRD EMER LNDG IN THE LAST 9 MONTHS; SO I'M VERY EMOTIONAL AS A RESULT. ALSO NO ACR REPRESENTATIVES MET THE FLT ATTENDANTS WHEN WE ARRIVED.
