B727 GETS STUCK IN MUD AFTER THE R MAIN WHEEL ROLLS OFF THE RAMP DURING TAXI OUT NIGHT GUIDED BY MARSHALL AND WING WALKERS.
Narrative
BEFORE DEPARTING FROM AN FBO RAMP AT MDW; I REQUESTED GND PERSONNEL TO BE TOWED OUT OF THE RAMP DUE TO THE FACT THAT THE RAMP WAS CONGESTED WITH OTHER ACFT. I WAS INFORMED THAT A TOW BAR WAS NOT AVAILABLE AND THAT I WOULD HAVE PLENTY OF ROOM AVAILABLE TO LEAVE THE RAMP AREA. THEY PROVIDED ME WITH A MARSHALL AND 2 WING WALKERS. I SIGNALED THE MARSHALL WHEN READY TO TAXI AND HE SIGNALED ME TO TAXI STRAIGHT AHEAD. THE RAMP WAS DARK; BUT I COULD CLRLY SEE HIS LIGHTED WANDS. AS WE APCHED AN ACFT THAT WAS PARKED AHEAD OF US; HE SIGNALED ME TO TURN TO THE R. HE THEN SIGNALED TO CONTINUE STRAIGHT AHEAD. AT THAT POINT; THE R LNDG GEAR TIRES WENT OFF THE RAMP AND INTO THE MUD WHERE IT GOT STUCK. DESPITE EVERYONE'S EFFORTS; THE AIRPLANE REMAINED STUCK UNTIL THE NEXT MORNING WHEN SPECIAL EQUIP WAS BROUGHT OVER TO PULL IT OUT. THE ARPT AUTHS FAULTED THE MARSHALL FOR THIS MISHAP. FROM THE BEGINNING I DIDN'T FEEL VERY COMFORTABLE TAXIING OUT OF THAT RAMP; SO LOOKING BACK; I SHOULD HAVE WAITED AS LONG AS IT TOOK FOR THE FBO TO FIND A TOW BAR AND HAVE THEM TOW ME OUT OF THE RAMP.
