CAPT OF A CL65 MADE A MISSED APCH AFTER THE STICK SHAKER ACTIVATED DURING A 5 MI FINAL APCH DUE TO THE SPOILERS BEING FULLY DEPLOYED.

Narrative

FLT TO GRB AT XA00 AND ON THE ILS TO RWY 36 AT GRB; WE RECEIVED A STALL WARNING AND INITIATED A RECOVERY AND MISSED APCH. THE STALL WARNING WAS CAUSED BY INADVERTENTLY LEAVING THE FLT SPOILERS FULLY EXTENDED WHILE SLOWING TO APCH SPD. MAIN CONTRIBUTING FACTORS: 1) CREW NOT ADJUSTED TO XA00 FLYING. 2) FO (PF) WAS NEW (LESS THAN 100 HRS) WITH BOTH AIRPLANE AND COMPANY. 3) CREW WAS OVERLOADED WITH MULTIPLE ALERTS IN RAPID SUCCESSION. 4) STARTED APCH TOO HIGH AND FAST (ZMP KEPT US HIGH). OTHER FACTORS: FREEZING RAIN; NON RADAR; TWR CLOSED/FSS ADVISORY SVC WAS IN EFFECT; FLYING DUTIES BECAME SHARED BTWN CREW MEMBERS (FO FLYING AND CAPT OPERATING SPOILERS); AND CAPT HADN'T FLOWN MUCH RECENTLY. MULTIPLE ALERTS -- ALL OCCURRED IN A PERIOD OF ABOUT 30 SECONDS JUST WHEN WE WERE INTERCEPTIVE GS. 1) ANGLE OF ATTACK CAUTION MESSAGE. 2)AUTOPLT DISCONNECT ALERT AURAL (3 BEEPS CONTINUOUSLY). 3) GEAR DISAGREEMENT WARNING MESSAGE AND AURAL MOMENTARILY AFTER EXTENSION. 4) NOSE DOOR WARNING MESSAGE AND AURAL MOMENTARILY AFTER EXTENSION. 5) FLT SPOILER MESSAGE MOVED FROM ADVISORY (GREEN) TO CAUTION (YELLOW). 6) STICK SHAKER. 7) IGNITION STATUS MESSAGE. THIS IS THE SECOND TIME I'VE HAD A STALL WARNING DUE TO INADVERTENTLY LEAVING FLT SPOILERS EXTENDED ON APCH IN 3 YRS. CORRECTIVE ACTION: FLT SPOILERS SHOULD AUTOMATICALLY RETRACT AT HIGH PWR SETTINGS.
