AN ACR REJECTS TKOF FOR A TKOF CONFIGN WARNING.
Narrative
AFTER PUSHBACK THERE WAS CONFUSION LOCATING THE GND CREW FOR A VISUAL CONFIRMATION OF THE GEAR PIN REMOVAL. DURING THIS CONFUSION; GND CTL WAS ISSUING A TAXI CLRNC. WE STARTED TAXIING AND INSTEAD OF GOING THROUGH OUR NORMAL CHKLIST AND FLOW SEQUENCE WE STARTED A 'DIFFERENCES' BRIEFING FOR THE -300 ACFT. WE DISCUSSED THE SLOWER ROTATION REQUIREMENT AS THE PLANE IS 23 FT LONGER; THE LARGER TAXI TURN RADIUS. THE 'GRABBY' BRAKES; ETC. AS WE WERE TAXIING WE WERE ALSO WATCHING AND TIMING OURSELVES WITH ANOTHER PLANE THAT WE WERE CONVERGING WITH. WE STARTED OUR BEFORE TKOF CHKLIST AS TWR CALLED INSTRUCTING US TO 'POS AND HOLD.' WE INTERRUPTED OUR CHKLIST AGAIN TO ACKNOWLEDGE THIS CLRNC AND CALL OUR CABIN CREW TO SEE IF THEY WERE READY. WE HURRIEDLY RESUMED OUR CHKLIST AS TWR CALLED ASSIGNING US A HDG AND CLRNC FOR TKOF. WHEN TKOF THRUST WAS SET; THE 'TKOF CONFIGN' WARNING SOUNDED. WE HAD SKIPPED THE SETTING OF THE FLAPS. WE CLRED THE RWY AT THE FIRST EXIT; THE AIRSPD WAS NEVER 'ALIVE;' THE BRAKES WERE VERY LIGHTLY USED. AFTER CLRING THE RWY; WE DID A SLOW; THOROUGH; COMPLETE CHKLIST; REBRIEF AND DEPARTED. THIS WAS THE THIRD NIGHT OF 'RED EYE' ALL NIGHTERS. WE WERE TIRED AND ALLOWED OURSELVES TO GET RUSHED.
