A B757-200 LIGHTLY LOADED ON A ROLLING TKOF REACHED V1 AND V2 PRIOR TO THE L ENG REACHING TARGET ENG PRESSURE RATIO. DIVERTED TO DEN FOR MAINT CHK.

Narrative

A ROLLING TKOF WAS MADE. ACFT X WAS VERY LIGHT -- 176600 LBS. MAX PWR REQUIRED DUE TO CDL ITEM. 116 KTS WAS V1 WHICH WAS ATTAINED AS PWR WAS STILL ADVANCING. FO CALLED OUT WE WERE ONLY AT 1.72 EPR; WHICH SHOULD HAVE BEEN 1.78. BY THAT TIME WE WERE AIRBORNE. WE DISCUSSED THE ISSUE WITH MAINT AND DISPATCH. WE SUGGESTED DEN SINCE THE ACFT WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO LEAVE. WE DIVERTED TO DEN WHERE ACR HAS OUR MAINT. CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH RPTR REVEALED THE FOLLOWING INFO: THE RPTR STATED 'A ROLLING TKOF WAS MADE WITH THE AIRPLANE LIGHTLY LOADED AND WE REACHED V1; ROTATION AND V2 PRIOR TO THE L THRUST LEVER REACHING THE TARGET ENG PRESSURE RATIO.' THE RPTR SAID THE ENGS PERFORMED NORMALLY AND MAINT WAS ADVISED OF THE L ENG EPR BEING BELOW TARGET. THE RPTR STATED A DECISION WAS MADE TO DIVERT AND HAVE MAINT CHK OUT THE ENG. THE RPTR SAID THE ENG CHKED OUT OK DURING A HIGH PWR RUN. THE RPTR STATED A CDL ITEM WAS DEFERRED ON THE AIRPLANE WHICH REQUIRED FULL MAX PWR FOR TKOF. THE RPTR SAID ONE TRAILING EDGE FLAP FAIRING HAD BEEN REMOVED AND PLACED ON THE CDL.
