CL65 CREW WAS CHASTISED BY THE TWR CTLR FOR NOT MAKING A ROLLING TKOF AT OMA.
Narrative
AS WE BEGAN OUR TAXI TO THE RWY; CTLR ASKED IF WE WOULD BE READY AT THE END. WE SAID YES. CTLR EXPLAINED THAT CTR WANTED US UP ASAP. THIS WAS THE FO'S 4TH DAY ON THE LINE; AND I DID NOT WANT TO OVERLY RUSH HER. EVEN SO; WE ARRIVED AT THE END OF THE RWY READY IN A VERY GOOD TIME. TWR CTLR GAVE US THE INSTRUCTIONS; 'KEEP IT ROLLING AROUND THE CORNER; CLRED FOR IMMEDIATE TKOF.' I TAXIED OUT ONTO THE RWY AS EXPEDITIOUSLY AS I THOUGHT POSSIBLE; MOMENTARILY STOPPED; APPLIED THRUST AND BEGAN THE TKOF ROLL. OUR COMPANY TKOF PERFORMANCE IS BASED ON US BRINGING THE ACFT TO A FULL STOP PRIOR TO THRUST APPLICATION. AGAIN; WE STOPPED ONLY FOR A MOMENT. AT 80 KTS THE TWR CTLR BEGAN TO CHASTISE US FOR STOPPING ON THE RWY; AND FOR US TO BE QUICKER. SINCE WE WERE IN A CRITICAL PHASE OF FLT; I DIRECTED MY FO NOT TO ANSWER THE CALL. AT 1500 FT AGL; AGAIN THE CTLR CHASTISED US FOR OUR PERCEIVED TARDINESS ON THE TKOF AND TO CONTACT DEP. THE FREQ WAS BUSY AT THIS TIME; SO I THOUGHT IT BEST TO ACKNOWLEDGE THE DEP FREQ AND TO SUGGEST THAT WE WOULD BE HAPPY TO CONTINUE THE CONVERSATION AT A LATER TIME.
