HAVING ATTEMPTED TO RESOLVE AN ELEVATOR SERVO FAULT AND AFT GALLEY WATER DRAIN PROB; A320 FLT DEPARTED ROC AND RETURN LAND DUE TO FLT ATTENDANT RPTED A GALLEY ELECTRICAL FUME SMELL.

Narrative

ON ARR FOR FIRST FLT OF THE DAY; ACFT WAS COLD. DURING PUSHBACK AND ENG START; WE HAD A R ELEVATOR SERVO FAULT. CONTACTED MAINT VIA CELL PHONE AND COMPLETED PROC TO RESTORE ECAM TO NORMAL STATUS. AS THIS WAS BEING COMPLETED; FLT ATTENDANT NOTIFIED US THAT WATER WAS COMING OUT OF THE AFT GALLEY VALVE AND COULD NOT BE SHUT OFF. SINCE MAINT WAS STILL ON THE PHONE; WE COMPLETED ATTEMPTS TO SHUT OFF WATER SUPPLY; WHICH WE COULD NOT DO. WE HAD TO RETURN TO GATE TO COMPLETE MEL PROCS REGARDING THE WATER LEAK. WATER WAS DRAINED FROM TANK BY ROC GND PERSONNEL. MEL ITEMS WERE THEN COMPLETED AND NOTED IN LOGBOOK. NEXT PUSHBACK AND ENG START WERE NORMAL. FLT DEPARTED RWY 22 ROC. AFTER FLAP RETRACTION AND AFTER TKOF CHKLIST COMPLETED; ACFT WAS NOTED AS HAVING A 'VIBRATION.' WHILE CHKING DOOR PAGES TO SEE IF WE MAY HAVE HAD A DOOR PROB; LEAD FLT ATTENDANT RPTED A BURNING SMELL COMING FROM AFT GALLEY THAT APPEARED TO BE ELECTRICAL. FLT ATTENDANTS PULLED CIRCUIT BREAKERS IN AFT GALLEY. FLT CREW RETURNED TO ROC UNDER VISUAL CONDITIONS. ON ARR; FIRE TRUCKS INSPECTED EXTERIOR; FOUND NO PROBS. FLT WAS CLRED TO HOLDING AREA. FIRE PERSONNEL INSPECTED INTERIOR OF ACFT; FOUND NO PROB. FLT WAS THEN CLRED TO GATE AND PAX DEPLANED. FIRE PERSONNEL FOUND NO EVIDENCE OF SMOKE/HEAT SOURCE. FAA PERSONNEL ARRIVED; AND FOUND ICE COMING FROM 'WATER SVC' AREA AND FREEZING ON EXTERIOR OF ACFT. CONTRACT MAINT WAS CONTACTED TO CHK ON POSSIBLE SOURCE OF ELECTRICAL SMELL; NO DAMAGE FOUND. AFTER HEATING ACFT AND WATER LINES; RE-DRAINING TANK; ETC; FLT WAS DISPATCHED TO PHL LATER WITH NO PAX.
