AN AIRBUS 320 WAS DISPATCHED IN NON COMPLIANCE ON A POSITIONING FERRY FLT WITH THE OVERWING EMER EXITS NOT ARMING AND NOT ENTERED IN THE LOGBOOK.
Narrative
ACFT RETURNED TO SVC ON FEB/THU/03 AT XA00Z. POST C-1 CHK AT ZZZ. I (THE QUALITY CHK INSPECTOR) ON BOARD FLT ZZZ TO ZZZ1; WAS INFORMED BY THE FLT CREW THAT THE OVERWING EMER EXITS INDICATED NOT ARMED; JUST PRIOR TO TAXI OUT; ENGS RUNNING. I PROCEEDED TO INVESTIGATE WHY THE EMER EXITS WERE NOT ARMED. I REMOVED BOTH UPPER INSIDE COVERS; BUT COULD NOT SEE PROPERLY WITHOUT A LIGHT; SO I WALKED TO THE FRONT OF THE PLANE TO GET MY FLASHLIGHT. I WAS THEN TOLD BY THE CAPT TO PUT THE COVERS BACK ON. THE CAPT DECIDED TO CONTINUE DUE NON-REVENUE FLT BACK TO ZZZ1. SHORTLY AFTER TKOF; A GND SPOILER 5 FAULT APPEARED ON ECAM. UPON ARR AT ZZZ1; I NOTICED THAT THE CAPT WAS HANDLING THE LOGBOOK; PRESUMABLY TO ENTER THE MAINT ITEMS. I WAS ADVISED THAT THE GND SPOILER 5 FAULT WAS ENTERED INTO THE LOGBOOK; BUT DID NOT LOG THE OVERWING EXITS ITEM. I PROCEEDED TO GIVE A VERBAL ACCOUNT OF THE ITEM TO A MAINT SUPVR WHO THEN HAD THE ITEM WRITTEN UP AFTER COMPLETION OF A ROUTINE DAILY CHK PRIOR TO RETURN TO REVENUE SVC.
