EXTREME TENSION IN COCKPIT BY LINE CHK AIRMAN (MEDICAL SUSPENDED; PSYCHOLOGICAL ISSUES) DURING SOME TYPE OF 'CHK.' PERSONALITY DISORDER FLUCTUATED FROM CALM/NOMINAL TO AGGRESSIVE/CONFRONTATIONAL/COMBATIVE/THREATENING OVER MINOR ISSUES. EXPLOSIVE CONFRONTATIONS DURING TENSE OPS: SOUTH AMERICA -- TERRAIN; COM; NAV; WX. I HAD TO REFUSE FLT BASED ON TENSION AND CONFLICT OVER A PERPETUAL 'CHK' WITH NO KNOWLEDGE FROM COMPANY MGMNT OR FAA. ROGUE OP SIMILAR TO HOSTILE FRATERNITY HAZING. EXTREME PREJUDICE. NOTIFIED FO PRIOR TO FLT THAT CHK AIRMAN WAS SEEKING TO REPLACE ME. PERSONAL WITCH HUNT PRECIPITATED BY MY SAFETY CONCERN OF STAND UP 13.5 HR OVERNIGHTS IN SOUTH AMERICA. PERSONAL VENDETTA TO PROVE PWR; BUT WITHOUT CURRENT MEDICAL (PSYCHOLOGICAL SUSPENSION). CHK AIRMAN HAS HISTORY OF CONFLICT; ABUSE; AND CONFRONTATION. NO DUTY LIMITS ADHERED TO; BECAUSE NOT CURRENT MEDICAL. FATIGUE PROBABLY CONTRIBUTING; BUT NOT PROXIMATE. NO CONDUIT FOR SUCCESSFUL CRM OR CONSTRUCTIVE CRITIQUE. EXPLOSIVE BLOW-UP DURING QUICK TURN; JEOPARDIZING SAFETY AND COMPOUNDING TENSE OPERATING ATMOSPHERE. ADMITTED THAT IF I WAS ANYBODY ELSE; IT WOULDN'T HAVE DETERIORATED. HAD TO PROVE A PWR POINT. I HAD TO REFUSE THE NEXT FLT FOR SAFETY REASONS AFTER HE ASSIGNED HIMSELF AT LAST MIN.
