A320 FLT CREW MANUALLY LOADS CORRECT DATA INTO FMC DUE TO COORDINATES OF A NAV FACILITY BEING INCORRECT UPON DEP FROM MMMX.
Narrative
DURING COCKPIT SETUP; THE CAPT LOADED THE RTE AND CONFIRMED 'NAV ACCURACY HIGH.' THE CAPT INITIATED THE TKOF; NOTING AT PWR-UP THAT THE FMGC UPDATED THE ACFT POS NORMALLY. THE FO MONITORED THE MEX 052 DEG RADIAL IN VOR ROSE MODE (RAW DATA) ON THE NAV DISPLAY. AT D4 MEX; THE FO TUNED IN THE PCA 194 DEG RADIAL AND OBSERVED THAT THE NEEDLE CTRED AS THE ACFT APCHED VASOS. THE CAPT NOTED THAT A NEW INTERCEPT POINT HAD APPEARED ON THE NAV DISPLAY NE OF VASOS AND THAT THE FLT DIRECTOR GUIDANCE WAS COMMANDING A TURN TO A HDG OF APPROX 045 DEGS. THE FO CONFIRMED THAT AN INACCURATE INTERCEPT POINT APPEARED IN THE FMGC AND THAT A FURTHER TURN TO THE L WAS REQUIRED. THE CAPT SWITCHED TO RAW DATA AND CONTINUED THE TURN WITHOUT REGARD TO INTERCEPT THE PCA 194 DEG RADIAL. AS THE ACFT APCHED D25 PCA; THE FO COMPARED THE FMGC TRACK TO THE RAW DATA AND NOTED THAT THE FMGC TRACK WAS 2.8 NM TO THE E OF THE ACTUAL PCA 194 DEG RADIAL. THE CAPT COMMENCED A TURN TO INTERCEPT APN 284 DEG RADIAL USING RAW DATA. FROM THIS POINT FORWARD; THE FMGC AND RAW DATA WERE IN CONCURRENCE. IT IS POSSIBLE THAT THE FOLLOWING INFO IS NOTEWORTHY. THERE WAS A PUBLISHED NOTAM INDICATING THAT THE FMGC COORDINATES FOR QET VOR ARE IN ERROR DUE TO THE FACT THAT NEW COORDINATES FOR THE VOR WERE INCORRECTLY LOADED IN ADVANCE OF ACTUAL RELOCATION OF THE NAVAID. THEREFORE; THE CAPT LOADED IN THE CORRECT COORDINATES MANUALLY AND NAMED THAT FIX QET1. QET APPEARED IN THE FPR AFTER RIOJA; BY WHICH TIME THE RAW DATA AND FMGC POS MATCHED. FOLLOWING THE EVENT; THE CAPT CONFIRMED THAT THE FMGC LATITUDE/LONGITUDE DATA FOR PCA WAS IN AGREEMENT WITH PUBLISHED DATA.
