CL-65 CREW WAS GIVEN ONE CLRNC BY FAT CLRNC DELIVERY. WHEN THEY FLEW THAT CLRNC; ZLA RADAR CTLR INDICATED THEY WERE NOT FLYING THE CLRED RTE.

Narrative

WE OBTAINED OUR ATC CLRNC ON THE GND AT FRESNO; 'CLRED TO PHX FRESNO 5 DEP EHF J65 LANDO AS FILED.' OUR RELEASE SHOWED FAT..EHF.J65.BLH.ARLIN3.PHX. MY CAPT PUT IN THE FMS AS THE CTLR STATED OUR CLRNC. WHILE FLYING OVER LANDO INTXN; WE STARTED OUR TURN TOWARDS BLH. ZLA WAS EXPECTING US TO REMAIN ON J65 TO BLH AND BEGIN THE ARLIN ARR INTO PHX. THIS IS WHERE THE COM BREAKDOWN OCCURRED. WE WERE TOLD BY ZLA THAT THIS HAS HAPPENED IN THE PAST WITH MULTIPLE CREWS ON THIS RTE. THEY HAVE BEEN TRYING TO FIX THE PROB AND IT CONTINUES TO RECUR. WE SEE EXACTLY WHERE THE COM PROBS ARE. GIVING THE 'J65 LANDO' IN OUR CLRNC LEADS US TO PUT THE FOLLOWING DATA INTO OUR FMS: 'FAT..EHF.J65.LANDO.BLH.ARLIN3.PHX' AND IT LEADS US TO THINK AT LANDO; WE STOP J65 AND GO ONTO BLH. OTHERWISE; WHY SAY ANYTHING ABOUT LANDO? NOW IF WE HAD BEEN GIVEN 'J65 LANDO J65 BLH AS FILED' IN OUR CLRNC; THAT ALSO WOULD BE OK. IF THE CTLR HAD JUST STATED 'CLRED TO PHX AS FILED' WE WOULD HAVE ENTERED THE FLT PLAN AS STATED ON THE ROUTING AND WE WOULD HAVE FLOWN EXACTLY WHAT ZLA WAS EXPECTING. HOWEVER; FROM THIS POINT ON; I HAVE LEARNED WHENEVER ANYTHING HAS BEEN CHANGED; SUCH AS IN THIS INSTANCE; I WILL CLARIFY WHAT IS TO BE 'AS FILED.'
