A B757 FLT CREW INADVERTENTLY LAND ON A DISPLACED THRESHOLD AT MYNN; FO.
Narrative
BEFORE DEP; NOTED IN NOTAMS DISPLACED THRESHOLD OF 3000 FT; RWY 32; AND LAST 3000 FT OF RWY 14 CLOSED. IN ALL OF MY OPS IN AND OUT OF NASSAU; I HAVE ALWAYS USED RWY 14. SINCE IT WAS THE LAST 3000 FT; IT DIDN'T STAND OUT IN MY MIND AS AN ISSUE THAT WOULD CHANGE ANY OPERATIONAL PROCS; DUE TO 8000 FT STILL AVAILABLE. AS WE APCHED NASSAU; THE CAPT WAS BUSY TALKING TO ATC; SO I COPIED THE ATIS. THERE WAS A LOT OF CARRYOVER FROM OTHER FACILITIES ON THE FREQ; SO I LISTENED TO IT NUMEROUS TIMES. I COPIED THE WX AND RWY IN USE (RWY 32); BUT MISSED THE NOTAM REGARDING THE DISPLACED THRESHOLD (I LISTENED TO ATIS ON GND AFTER FLT AND THEN HEARD IT). ON APCH TO RWY 32; THERE WERE NO CLR MARKINGS OF A DISPLACED THRESHOLD. THE '32' RWY NUMBERS WERE AT THE END OF THE PAVEMENT INSTEAD OF AT THE DISPLACED THRESHOLD AND THE 'LINES WITH ARROWS' MARKING A DISPLACED THRESHOLD WERE ONLY LIGHTLY PAINTED A FEW HUNDRED FT PRIOR TO THE DISPLACED THRESHOLD. THE FIRST 2500 FT OF THE RWY HAD ALL APPEARANCES OF BEING OPEN. AFTER LNDG; TWR INFORMED US THAT WE HAD LANDED ON A CLOSED PORTION OF THE RWY. ANOTHER REVIEW OF NOTAMS SHOULD HAVE BEEN DONE; BUT FOR SOME REASON WAS NOT. THE 'NOTAMS' PART OF THE APCH BRIEFING WAS BRIEFED AS 'NA.'
