A B757-200 CAPT RPTED THAT; DURING TAXI AFTER SJC TWR HAD CLOSED; HE INCURRED ON TXWY C WHICH WAS TOO NARROW.
Narrative
AFTER A 3.5 HR SIT THAT TURNED INTO OVER 7 HRS; DUE TO LATE INBOUND EQUIP; WE RECEIVED A CLRNC TO LAS WITH NO MENTION OF THE TWR CLOSING IN 20 MINS. WHEN CALLING FOR PUSH; WE DETERMINED TWR WAS CLOSED; EVEN THOUGH WE RECEIVED PERMISSION TO DEPART DURING CURFEW. DURING TAXI ON TXWY Y; WE WERE REVIEWING PART 1 ON TWR CLOSED OPS; CHANGING TKOF NUMBERS DUE TO DECREASE IN LOAD AND A SLIGHT TAILWIND ON RWY 30L; AND TRYING TO CONTACT OAK FOR IFR RELEASE INTO THEIR AIRSPACE. CLOSE TO TXWY C; WE NOTICED CONSTRUCTION IN PROGRESS ON APCH END OF RWY 30R. TRYING TO AVOID A POSSIBLE TXWY CONFLICT; WE ELECTED TO CROSS RWY 30L AND TAXI DOWN W SIDE OF ARPT NOT NOTICING WINGTIP RESTR ON TXWY W. AFTER XING ON RWY C; BUT BEFORE TURNING ON TXWY W; WE DETERMINED TXWY W WAS TOO NARROW. AFTER DETERMINING WINGTIP CLRNC AND NO MENTION OF WT RESTR; WE DID AN IDLE PWR 180 DEG TURN ON TXWY C; BACK TAXIED ON RWY 30L AND TOOK OFF. WE FELT PRESSURE BECAUSE THE NEXT DAY'S FLT; LAS TO DFW; WAS ALREADY DELAYED DUE TO CREW REST AND WE WANTED TO MINIMIZE DELAY AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE.
