FLT CREW OF B757 SELECT WRONG DEP FREQ OUT OF MCO. TFC CONFLICTS RESULT BEFORE MISTAKE CAN BE CORRECTED.
Narrative
DURING PREFLT AT MCO; I INCORRECTLY XFERRED THE DEP CTL FREQ FROM THE ACARS PDC TO THE FLT PLAN FORM. CORRECT FREQ WAS 120.15 AND I WROTE DOWN AND SELECTED 120.5. WE DEPARTED RWY 36L AT MCO WITH INSTRUCTIONS TO FLY HDG 010 DEGS AND A SID ALT OF 5000 FT. I WAS THE PF. AFTER DEP; WE FLEW ASSIGNED HDG AND LEVELED AT 5000 FT. I DON'T KNOW WHAT RESPONSE PNF GOT WHEN CHKING IN WITH DEP; BUT I NEVER HEARD ANY XMISSIONS FROM DEP CTL WHILE I WAS HAND FLYING UP TO LEVELOFF. AFTER LEVELING AT 5000 FT; WE NOTICED WE HAD NO CONTACT WITH DEP CTL AND WERE ATTEMPTING TO FIND THE CORRECT FREQ. WE THEN HEARD A CALL ON VHF #2 ON 121.5 FROM DEP WITH A TURN TO 270 DEGS AND TO CONTACT HIM ON 120.15. WE IMMEDIATELY COMPLIED. WE WERE IN THE TURN WHEN WE CONTACTED DEP CTL. HE SAID WE CAUSED TFC PROBS FOR HIM AND OTHERS. I WAS SURPRISED THAT WE COULD HAVE CAUSED PROBS WHILE SO CLOSE TO THE ARPT ON AN ASSIGNED HDG AND ALT. (WE WERE STILL S OF THE ORL VOR.) I SHOULD HAVE DOUBLECHKED THE DEP FREQ ON ACARS PDC AND THE DEP CTL FREQ THAT I WROTE DOWN AGAINST THE DEP SID. THIS WOULD HAVE CAUGHT THE ERROR. I ALSO THINK FATIGUE WAS A FACTOR. I AM A RESERVE PLT; AND WAS ON MY 7TH DUTY DAY IN 8 DAYS. I JUST GOT OFF A TRIP WITH 2 CONSECUTIVE NIGHTS OF RED-EYE ASSIGNMENTS (SEGMENTS). I HAD 1 DAY OF REST; AND AN XA05 MORNING DEP ON A 3 DAY TRIP INTO SCHEDULED DAYS OFF. I DON'T THINK I WOULD HAVE MADE THIS ERROR IF I HAD BEEN BETTER RESTED.
