Narrative
WE WERE CLRED FOR DEP ON RWY 1R AT SFO. A JETSTREAM HAD DEPARTED ON RWY 1L PREVIOUSLY. NORMALLY WE ARE CLRED ON THE SFO DEP WITH A 030 DEG HDG. ON TKOF WITH THE FO FLYING; HE WAS TURNING TO THE 350 DEG HDG OF THE DEP AND I TOLD HIM TO STOP AT 010 DEG HDG. I INFORMED TWR THAT WE WERE CLRED ON THE GAP DEP AND THAT WOULD TURN US INTO THE JETSTREAM TFC THAT HAD DEPARTED AHEAD OF US. TWR SEEMED CONFUSED AND I EXPLAINED THAT THE GAP DEP REQUIRED A 350 DEG HDG OFF RWY 1R AND THAT IT APPEARED TO ME THAT THE JETSTREAM WAS ALSO ON THAT HDG AND THAT DID NOT SEEM APPROPRIATE TO ME. TWR THEN TOLD US TO COME TO A 030 DEG HDG FOR VECTORS TO SAC. WE NEVER GOT CLOSER THAN 3 MI TO THE JETSTREAM; BUT IT CONCERNS ME THAT IT APPEARS THE TWR AND CLRNC DELIVERY DO NOT SEEM TO BE COORD. IS IT JUST ME; OR SO YOU SEE A PROB IF A CREW WAS FLYING THIS IN IFR AND WAS NOT AWARE OF THE CONFLICT? I HAD A GOOD FO TODAY; AND HE DID AS TOLD WITHOUT QUESTIONING AND THE OUTCOME WAS OK. I KNOW IT WAS SUNDAY; BUT PLEASE; WE ALL NEED TO BE IN THE LOOP TOGETHER!
