Narrative
ON TIME PRESSURES FROM CUST SVC REP PERSONNEL AGAIN! CUST SVC REP RUSHES INTO COCKPIT AT XA:59 (SCHEDULED PUSH BACK AT XB:00) AND SAYS; 'CAN YOU POP THE BRAKES FOR AN ON-TIME?' CAPT DID IT FOR HER WITHOUT COMPLETING THE BEFORE PUSH BACK CHKLIST OR CONSULTING WITH GND PUSH BACK PERSONNEL VIA INTERPHONE. CUST SVC REP WAS SO INTENT ON GETTING THE ON-TIME THAT ONCE SHE GOT IT; SHE PRACTICALLY FLED THE ACFT. SHE WAS OUTTA THERE (WITH THE ENTRY DOOR CLOSED BEHIND HER) SO FAST THAT THE LEAD FLT ATTENDANT DIDN'T EVEN KNOW SHE WAS CLOSING THE DOOR. IE; CUST SVC REP DIDN'T TALK TO LEAD FLT ATTENDANT. CUST SVC REP ALSO DIDN'T PROVIDE LEAD FLT ATTENDANT WITH REQUIRED MANIFEST PAPERWORK. THEY HAD TO BRING A BAG LOADER RAMP UP TO THE COCKPIT WINDOW SO THE SAME CUST SVC REP COULD PERSONALLY DELIVER THE MANIFEST PAPERWORK TO THE COCKPIT (AND; OF COURSE; RETAIN THE ON-TIME BECAUSE THE ENTRY DOOR DOESN'T HAVE TO OPEN AGAIN). THIS IS A RIDICULOUS DANGEROUS PRACTICE. WE SEE IT ALL THE TIME AND IT'S GETTING MORE FREQUENT. IT'S INEVITABLE THAT WE'RE GOING TO HURT PEOPLE OR BEND METAL BECAUSE OF THIS MAD RUSH TO 'GET THE ON-TIME.'
