A B757-200 TECHNICIAN PERFORMED A WALKAROUND INSPECTION AND FOUND NO DISCREPANCIES. IN MORNING; QUALITY CTL FOUND SCRATCHES IN RVSM CRITICAL STATIC PORT AREAS; BUT DID NOT DOCUMENT DAMAGE.

Narrative

ON THE NIGHT OF AUG/TUE/05; I PERFORMED A WALKAROUND INSPECTION ON ACFT X. THERE WERE NO DISCREPANCIES WITH THE FUSELAGE AT THE TIME I COMPLETED THE WALKAROUND INSPECTION. PRIOR TO THE MORNING DEP; QUALITY ASSURANCE ACCOMPLISHED A WALKAROUND INSPECTION DURING AN AUDIT; AND NOTED SOME ALLEGED SCRATCHES IN THE RVSM CRITICAL AREAS SURROUNDING THE STATIC PORTS. NO DOCUMENTATION WAS MADE BY QUALITY ASSURANCE AUDITOR; NO DOCUMENTATION WAS MADE EITHER IN THE LOGBOOK OR THE ACFT DAMAGE LOG. I FEEL THAT IN THE TIME THAT HAS ELAPSED BTWN THE TIME OF THE ALLEGED FINDINGS BY QUALITY ASSURANCE ON AUG/TUE/05; AND THE NOTIFICATION BY LCL MGMNT ON OCT/SUN/05 HAS POSED SOME SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUES ON CRITICAL ACFT SYS ON THIS ACFT. ON OCT/SUN/05; I NOTIFIED TECHNICAL SVCS TO ENTER A MAINT ITEM; NOTIFIED THE SHIFT MGR ON DUTY LOCALLY; AND ALSO ZZZ MAINT; WHERE THE ACFT TERMINATED FOR THE NIGHT. ALL AUDIT FINDINGS SHOULD BE DOCUMENTED IN A TIMELY MANNER; PRIOR TO FURTHER FLT. SAFETY SHOULD ALWAYS BE A PRIORITY; AND NEVER BE COMPROMISED.
