Narrative
REPLACEMENT OF DUAL FMGC'S. PERFORMED AFS TEST FOR FMGC #1; #2 AND FUNCTIONAL ACFT CHK #1; #2. ALL CHKS PASSED. PERFORMED LAND TEST FUNCTION CHK (LAND AND CAPABILITY CHK). ALL FUNCTION CHKS PASSED. LEAD MECH AND MYSELF VIEWED TEST RESULTS. CONTACTED MAINT OPS CTR WITH RESULTS AND ASKED IF ANY OPEN CAT ITEMS EXISTED. WAS ADVISED NONE WERE NOTED; CLRED FMGC WRITE-UPS AND CAT WAS UPGRADED TO CAT II; III; III DUAL OPS. ALL ITEMS RECORDED IN ACFT LOGBOOK. ARRIVED WORK ON APR/THU/06. WAS ADVISED BY OTHER PERSONNEL THAT AN OPEN ITEM (CAT) WAS NOT ADDRESSED WITH ACFT. A CAT ENTRY FOR FUNCTIONAL ACFT CHK #1 AND #2 HAD NOT BEEN CLOSED AND REMAINED OPEN. THIS ITEM WAS NOT OBSERVED. FOR THIS REASON; A LOGBOOK ENTRY STATING A FUNCTIONAL CHK OF FUNCTIONAL ACFT CHKS #1 AND #2 WAS NOT ENTERED. ALTHOUGH A FUNCTIONAL CHK OF THE FUNCTIONAL ACFT CHKS HAD BEEN PERFORMED WHEN THE FMGC'S WERE REPLACED. IT IS MY FIRM BELIEF THAT I HAD FOLLOWED PROPER PROCS; AND ADVISED THE PROPER PERSONNEL; AND HAD COMPLETED ALL PAPERWORK TO THE BEST OF MY KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES.
