B757 CREW GETS WRONG SID ASSIGNMENT FROM SFO CLRNC DELIVERY AND DEPARTS.
Narrative
WE PULLED UP OUR CLRNC FROM ACARS; WHICH GAVE US AN SFO8 DEP; WITH A NOTE TO CALL CLRNC FOR A REVISION. WHAT WAS FILED WAS: SFO LIN JSICA ILC/MIA. THE AMENDED CLRNC ON THE PAPER READ SFO8 LIN JSICA ILC. THERE WAS A NOTE TO CONTACT CLRNC ON 118.2 FOR REVISION. THE FO CALLED AND WE BOTH THOUGHT WE HEARD CLRED THE SFO8; AND THAT WAS WHAT HE READ BACK. WE BOTH ASSUMED THAT WE WERE VERBALLY VERIFYING THE CHANGE TO THE SFO8 AS PRINTED AS A REVISED SEGMENT ON THE ACARS CLRNC. THIS CALLED FOR A STRAIGHT OUT CLB ON RWY HDG OF 280 DEGS. I WAS FLYING AND AT 1000 FT THE TWR CTLR ASKED IF WE WERE GOING TO START OUR TURN TO 040 DEGS. WE QUESTIONED WHY; AND SHE SAID THAT WE WERE CLRED ON THE SHORELINE DEP; WHICH CALLED FOR A R TURN TO 040 DEGS. I MADE THE TURN AS REQUESTED. ONCE CLBING THROUGH 10000 FT; I GAVE THE ACFT AND RADIOS TO THE FO AND CALLED CLRNC DELIVERY AT SFO. I TOLD THEM THAT WE HAD A HARD COPY FROM ACARS WITH THE SFO8 DEP AND THAT IS WHAT WE READ BACK OVER THE RADIO. HE SAID THAT WE WERE CLRED ON THE SHORELINE DEP AND THAT IS WHY WE WERE TO CALL CLRNC FOR AND THAT IS THE REVISION THAT WE WERE GIVEN. EITHER WE BOTH MISUNDERSTOOD THE REVISION GIVEN FROM THE CLRNC DELIVERY OVER THE RADIO; OR THEY READ THE SFO8; AND WE ACKNOWLEDGED. THERE WAS NO CONFLICT WITH TFC AND I HAD CLBED IN A NOISE ABATEMENT MODE TO MINIMIZE THE ACFT ENG NOISE.
