B757 FLT CREW HAD A POSSIBLE TIRE FAILURE DEPARTING DEN.
Narrative
NEAR THE END OF CLB TO FL380 OR EARLY CRUISE; ZDV CALLED AND INFORMED US THAT THE DEN TWR CALLED THEM AND RPTED TIRE DEBRIS ON RWY 25. THEY FELT THAT IT WAS EITHER US OR AN RJ THAT HAD DEPARTED MOMENTS BEFORE US. WE NOTED NO IRREGULAR SHAKES; NOISES OR INDICATIONS THAT MAY HAVE BEEN A RESULT OF A FAILURE. I SENT DISPATCH AN ACARS NOTE ALERTING THEM TO THE SAME FACT AND TO RELAY TO MAINT FOR OUR ARR. DISPATCH ACKNOWLEDGED AND LATER SENT A MESSAGE INQUIRING IF WE WANTED THE FIRE TRUCKS ON ARR. WE AGREED TO THE TRUCKS; BUT DID NOT DECLARE AN EMER NOR WAS ANYTHING SAID TO ATC. I ASKED DISPATCH TO MAKE THE CALLS AND THE FLT CONTINUED NORMALLY. TRANSITIONING TO THE CIVET 5/RWY 25R APCH; SOCAL ASKED IF WE HAD AN ACFT MALFUNCTION TO WHICH WE REPLIED THE ABOVE STORY. WE WERE ASKED FOR SOULS AND FUEL. THE LAST SOCAL CTLR IN COMMUNICATING TO OTHER ACFT WAS USING THE TERM 'EMER ACFT' AND THE RWY 25 ARRS WOULD BE MOMENTARILY SUSPENDED. WE LANDED WITHOUT INCIDENT AND WAS ESCORTED TO THE GATE. NO FAILURE WAS FOUND ON THE ACFT. SPEAKING WITH DISPATCH AFTERWARDS; THEY DID NOT DECLARE AN EMER; INSTEAD HE TOLD THE ATC REPRESENTATIVE THAT WE HAD AN 'AMBER' CONDITION. NO EMER WAS EVER DECLARED BY EITHER THE CAPT OR DISPATCH; BUT I BELIEVE ATC PRIORITY WAS RECEIVED.
