AIRCRAFT DISPATCHED ON FRI JUN 07 WITH CHANNEL 1 OF BSCU DEFERRED INOP. LOG HISTORY SHOWED NUMEROUS SYSTEM RELATED GRIPES: THURS JUN 07 BSCU CHANNEL 2 ECAM; WED JUN 07 NW STEER FAULT ECAM; THURS JUN 07 NW STEER FAULT ECAM; AND THURS JUN 07 NW STEER FAULT ECAM. APPROXIMATELY 1 HOUR INTO FLIGHT; AT CRUISE LEVEL A 'NW STEER FAULT ECAM' ILLUMINATED. AS PER FLIGHT MANUAL; CYCLED 'A/SKID AND NW STRG' SWITCH WITH NO EFFECT. DISCUSSED SITUATION WITH DISPATCH AND MAINT CTL AND DECIDED TO CONDUCT NORMAL LANDING TO FULL STOP ON RUNWAY AND REQUEST A TOW TO THE GATE. BRIEFED PURSER AND ISSUED A CABIN ADVISORY. INSTRUCTED FLT ATTENDANTS TO EXPECT A NORMAL LANDING AND ROLLOUT. COMPLETION OF FLIGHT TO COMPLETE STOP WAS UNEVENTFUL. DURING LANDING ROLLOUT; DETERMINED NWS WAS INOP. CONDUCTED TOW IN CHECKLIST AND WAS TOWED TO GATE. IN RETROSPECT; IT IS APPARENT THAT THE NUMEROUS PREVIOUS GRIPES HAD NOT BEEN ADDRESSED CORRECTLY AND SYSTEM FAILURE EVENTUALLY OCCURRED.SUPPLEMENTAL INFO FROM ACN 744108: THIS WAS THE THIRD OCCURRENCE IN PAST WEEK.
