Narrative

ACFT CROSSED OM AT 210 KTS; FLAPS 1 DEG; LNDG GEAR DOWN AND SPD BRAKES EXTENDED AT APPROX 7800 FT (800 FT HIGH). FO ADVISED CAPT THAT 'WE'RE HIGH AND THIS MAY NOT WORK.' APCH CONTINUED HIGH AND FAST 2 DOTS ABOVE GLIDE PATH AND 4 WHITE PAPI THROUGHOUT APCH. AT 1000 FT AGL; FO ADVISED CAPT 'WE PROBABLY NEED TO GO AROUND.' CAPT CONTINUED ON APCH AND AT 500 FT AGL; ACFT WAS APPROX 1 MI FINAL (200 FT HIGH) FLAPS EXTENDING TO 30 DEGS; AIRSPD 152 KTS (TARGET +20) AND STILL 2 DOTS HIGH ON GLIDE PATH. FO CALLS 'GO AROUND' IN ACCORDANCE WITH SOP. CAPT ACKNOWLEDGES AND SAYS; 'I'M CONTINUING.' 300 FT AGL FO CALLS 'CAPT; WE NEED TO GO AROUND!' CAPT REPLIES 'I'M LNDG.' ACFT TOUCHED DOWN APPROX 3000 FT DOWN THE RWY AT TARGET +10 (140) AND CLRS THE RWY AT LAST HIGH SPD AND TAXIES IN WITHOUT INCIDENT. EVENT FOLLOWED PREVIOUS INCIDENT ON DEP AT APPROX 2000 FT AGL FO HAD TO ASSUME CTL OF THE ACFT FROM THE CAPT AFTER GETTING 10 KTS SLOW (CLEAN; V/0-10) AND AIRSPD DECREASING FURTHER. FO RECOVERED ACFT TO V/0 +10 AND RETURNED CTL TO CAPT.
