Narrative
AFTER HAVING BEEN CLRED TO PUSH BACK 'TAIL E' FROM THE GATE; AND HAVING STARTED BOTH ENGS; GND CLRED US TO TAXI TO RWY 26L VIA THE TXWY 'T' CODED TAXI RTE; AND TO HOLD SHORT OF TXWY L. DUE TO THE WAY WE WERE PUSHED BACK; WE WERE ALREADY ABEAM TXWY T. I LOOKED DOWN TO CONFIRM THE PUBLISHED TAXI RTE WHILE THE CAPT PUSHED UP THE THROTTLES AND WE STARTED TO MOVE; A MOMENT LATER GND CALLED US AND TOLD US WE HAD TAXIED PAST TXWY T. THE CAPT IMMEDIATELY STOPPED THE ACFT; AND ASKED GND IF HE WANTED US TO TURN AROUND; TO WHICH GND SAID NO; THAT WE COULD TAXI AHEAD ON THE RAMP AND JOIN TXWY J. HE WENT ON TO SAY THE REASON HE HAD SPECIFICALLY INSTRUCTED US TO EXIT THE RAMP VIA TXWY T; WAS THAT THERE WAS AN AREA OF RAMP WHERE THE PAVEMENT HAD GIVEN WAY; AND THEY DIDN'T WANT HVY ACFT TAXIING AROUND IT. AT THIS TIME THE CAPT AND I DID OBSERVE AN AREA OF PAVEMENT THAT HAD A TRIANGULAR BARRIER-LIKE STRUCTURE OVER IT (LOOKED LIKE A WIND TRIANGLE LIKE YOU SEE AT SMALLER ARPTS). THERE WAS NOTHING IN THE ARPT NOTAMS; NOR IN THE ATIS THAT TOLD OF ANY RAMP CLOSURES IN THE AREA WE WERE IN. STILL; WE WERE GIVEN THE CLRNC TO EXIT VIA TXWY T; AND IF WE HAD TAKEN A LITTLE MORE TIME TO GET OUR BEARINGS BEFORE WE STARTED MOVING; WE WOULDN'T HAVE MISSED THE CORRECT TXWY.
