CRJ200 FLT CREW REPORTS HYD SYSTEM 3 FAILURE AT FL340. AFTER COMPLYING WITH QRH PROCEDURES UNEVENTFUL LANDING ENSUES WITH TOW TO THE GATE.

Narrative

FL340; WHEN WE RECEIVED HYD 3 LOW CAS. SYNOPTIC PAGE REVEALED SYS 3 HYD FLUID LESS THAN 5% AND HYD SYS PSI AMBER EVENTUALLY STOPPING AT 0 PSI. ACCUMULATOR PRESSURE WAS STILL OVER 2000 PSI IN SYS 3. CAPT COMPLETED QRH HYD SYS 3 LOW WITH NORMAL GEAR DOWN INDICATIONS AND PROCS. TOLD FLT ATTENDANT TO EXPECT NORMAL LNDG. PRESSED FDR EVENT BUTTON. FO WAS PF AND RADIOS UNTIL WE REACHED 10000 FT. CAPT FLEW THE APCH AND LNDG BECAUSE FO IS NOT YET PROFICIENT AT LNDG. USED DIFFERENTIAL BRAKING TO TURN THE PLANE OFF THE RWY AND FIRE CREW CHOCKED PLANE AFTER STOPPED. PAX WERE BUSSED TO THE TERMINAL AND AIRPLANE WAS TOWED TO THE RAMP. SUPPLEMENTAL INFO FROM ACN 785195: I WAS PF. DURING CRUISE; WE RECEIVED AN EICAS MESSAGE ALERTING US THAT HYD SYS 3 FLUID QUANTITY WAS LOW. THE CAPT ASSIGNED ME PF DUTIES AND THE RADIOS. CAPT RAN THE QRH FOR THE MESSAGE. WE DECLARED AN EMER WITH CTR. WE DISCUSSED PLAN WITH FLT ATTENDANT. CAPT THEN TOOK OVER PF DUTIES BEFORE WE LOWERED GEAR. EMER EQUIP WAS ROLLED. I FINISHED THE QRH CHKLISTS AND MANUALLY LOWERED THE LNDG GEAR. CAPT LANDED UNEVENTFULLY. WE THEN STOPPED; AND THEN CLRED THE RWY. CAPT CALLED FOR CHOCKS; AND WE WERE TOWED IN.
