RIGHT THRUST REVERSER WAS DEFERRED BY LINE MAINTENANCE ON A B757-200. AFTER PUSHBACK; THE FLIGHT CREW NOTICES INCORRECT CIRCUIT BREAKERS COLLARED; COORDINATES WITH MAINTENANCE CONTROL AND RESOLVES THE SITUATION.

Narrative

UPON ARRIVING AT ACFT FOR FLT; PREVIOUS CREW HAD A WRITE-UP ABOUT R THRUST REVERSER AND MAINT WAS ON THE SCENE. ACFT WAS LOADED WITH 151 PAX. STATION MAINT WAS THE LAST ONE OFF ACFT AFTER SECURING ALL DETAILS PERTINENT TO MEL. THIS INCLUDED LOCKING OUT THE R THRUST REVERSERS AND PULLING AND COLLARING CIRCUIT BREAKERS. LOGBOOK WAS SIGNED OFF AND ACFT WAS CLRED FOR FLT. WHILE TAXIING OUT FROM GATE; FO WAS QUESTIONING THE CIRCUIT BREAKERS THAT WERE PULLED BY STATION MAINT. ACFT WAS STOPPED ON AN INACTIVE TXWY AND A CALL TO DISPATCH AS WELL AS MAINT CTL WAS MADE. I; AS CAPT; DISCUSSED THE PROB WITH MAINT CTL AS WELL AS LOOKING AT THE MEL AND DETERMINED THAT MAINT HAD PULLED THE WRONG BREAKERS AND COLLARED THEM. WITH MAINT CTL DIRECTION; I REMOVED THE COLLARS ON THE WRONG CIRCUIT BREAKER; REARMED THEM; AND PROCEEDED TO PULL THE CORRECT BREAKERS AND COLLAR THESE. WE RESUMED THE FLT WITHOUT FURTHER INCIDENCE. MECH WAS LOCATING CIRCUIT BREAKER BY DESCRIPTION INSTEAD OF LOCATION NUMBER EVEN WITH A COPY OF THE MEL PAGE IN HIS HAND. POSSIBLE PROB IN TRAINING AND A LACK OF BACKUP HELP IN MAINT; BUDDY SYSTEM.
