A Flight Attendant aboard an A320 reported finding door slide pressures below dispatch limits yet accepted by Maintenance.

Narrative

I noticed doors 2R and 1R had low-pressure door gauges and asked the cockpit to call the Mechanics for assessment. The Pilots logged the incident. When the Mechanics (3) came on board one said that door 2R was good and that door 1R was at 1700 psi; also good. I informed the Mechanics that it was below the requirement; which is 1740 psi; and I was reading 1690 psi. When I informed the Mechanics that I was going to document this incident another Mechanic looked at the door 1R again and said that it was just below 1700 psi. The Mechanics left the aircraft and later assessed that it was okay to fly. Based on the local temperature (76F - 24.4C) and confirmed by the cockpit the gauges should have been above 1740 psi and not below that number especially since the aircraft stayed parked overnight. The Mechanics determined that it was within limits; however should something happen today as the aircraft continues its itinerary this seems like tossing the dice once again. I take this issue very serious and I believe the company should to. Please inform all mechanics that all doors must be properly calibrated prior to any aircraft taken off. Today's violation is being recorded.
