Narrative
Engine received at facility from a Contract Maintenance Quick Engine Change (QEC) vendor with a Serviceable [FAA-8130] PMI Identification (ID) Tag. While accomplishing visual inspection; several discrepancies noted. Refer to company Work Order XXXX for action taken. Items noted were: thrust reverser stang fairing attach bracket cracked; metal seal plate missing for stang fairing bracket; nose inlet cowl lip skin dented; thrust reverser gearbox actuator not set correctly when at stow position; drain line not connected at Accessory Gearbox (AGB) drain mast and mount bracket cracked for hydraulic manifold at pressure Quad (QD) connection point.Additionally; not noted on company work order were the XXX-colored tags that were with miscellaneous bleed ducts and insulation pieces that were incorrectly filled out. Most were missing information concerning where part came from; incorrect part numbers; part name incorrect and disposition section had no notations.Increased surveillance of vendor for proper procedures in parts identification required; better Quality Assurance (QA) oversight in the process of QEC Inspection for 'Return to Service' of QEC [engines].
