Synopsis
Following receipt of ECAM Autobrake and Flap Control warnings; the Flight Crew of an A320 performed all required QRH requirements and landed without incident.
Narrative
On our climb out we got an ECAM indicating auto brakes inoperative. I informed Maintenance via ACARS; computed the required landing distance and continued to our destination. On approach about 7 miles on final the First Officer called for flaps 3. We got an ECAM 'F/CTL Flaps Locked' message. With flaps at 2; the gear down and stabilized the First Officer continued flying while I checked the QRH which was already opened from my earlier use. I consulted the chart for flaps/slats performance and established from the chart that the runway was more than twice as long as required and that the safest thing to do was to land. Our fuel was about 6.0 at the time. I finished the ECAM action and we landed easily making the normal turnoff intersection. We taxied to the gate; contacting Maintenance on the way in. I made the proper write up in the logbook. Maintenance said the airplane had just come out of C check. My First Officer said everything looked normal on his preflight. When we took off the temperature was 3c and for our landing it was 28c.
