What happened
A flight traveling from Corsica toward Stuttgart-Echterdingen Airport ended in a fatal accident while approaching its destination. The aircraft, a twin-engine plane, was operated with one pilot and six passengers on board.
During the descent phase of the flight, the crew encountered severe weather, characterized by heavy rainfall and dense fog that significantly restricted visibility. While navigating through these difficult conditions, the aircraft impacted the slope of Mt Bargauer Horn, situated southeast of Schwäbisch Gmünd. This impact occurred approximately 49 km northeast of Stuttgart Airport.
The collision resulted in the total destruction of the airframe. There were seven fatalities recorded, as all occupants on board perished in the crash.
